Starkit's Prophecy: Translated!

Chapter One: The Rise of a Heroine

Starkit woke up to sunlight in the branches. She closed her eyes again, still tired, but her mom would not let her sleep today.

"Sweetie, it's time to get up," Said Dawnsparkle, her eyes shining. "Today is an important day."

"What is it, mom?" Said Starkit, awake right away. Then the she-cat remembered what day it was.

"Oh my gosh, it's my ceremony today!" She squealed excitedly. Today was the day she became an apprentice!

She sped outside, not even waiting for her mom, but her mom quickly caught up to her.

"Sweetie, you know that the clans don't accept cats like us sometimes." She said.

Starkit glared at her mom. She didn't like being told that. Just because her mom used to be a ShadowClan cat and her dad was Jayfeather, the medicine cat, didn't make her different!

"Starkit, come here," Firestar called from the ledge. He jumped down. "It's time for you to become an apprentice," He said. " You're a strong and brave cat, and for that, I will mentor you."

Everybody gasped, including Starkit. "Wow," She heard her mother say.

Firestar licked her shoulder. He whispered in her ear, "You'll be the best there ever was, I know it."

Surprised, she walked away when the clan was done howling for her. Then she went over to Jayfeather and Dawnsparkle, who were very proud.

"Daughter, we are very happy for you, but I have something to tell you." Jayfeather puffed his chest out. "You see, there is this prophecy that StarClan gave me. They said 'Out of the darkness, the stars will come to get rid of the evil tiger and holly.'"

Starpaw gasped. What did it mean?
