She lay at my feet, quiet, blissful. Her chest rising and falling with each sound of a breath.
1. Don't take a breath whilst being constricted by a snake.

He kept his gaze on her, that was the last calm night she would spend. After this she would slowly be tightened, squeezed, constricted.
2. Don't panic and do something rash

Both oblivious to the fact they are soon to be bate. Not the bate for a fish, or a wild animal but the mere pull of a snake to come out of hiding.
3. Know your predator
The snake is quiet, he slowly weaselled his way into their bubbles of security. They've only ever trusted one another but maybe, one day...
4. Defend your self at all costs
