Chapter 27

To be honest with myself, I didn't want to go back into the waiting room. Truth is; I wanted to stay longer with them. Even though I only had to take meds, I still wish I could stay.

"I think that's all, hope you get better, hun. Take care, now," she gave me a warm smile, leading me out of the room.

I pondered for a moment if I should ask about Eleanor but I decided against it, she probably didn't know much.

She stopped in front of the door and urged me forward. I tried to give her a smile but that didn't work to well. She seemed to get the message though.

"Bye dear!" She waved as I walked into the waiting room, instantly getting attacked by the boys.

A smile managed to get onto my face as they surrounded me. Zayn placed a hand on my shoulder, clearing me of my thoughts. Each of them looked nervous.

The brown paper bag held my medication, which drew the attention to the small bag that was clutched in my grasp. A concerned expression washed onto Liam's face but it disappeared as soon as I gave him a reassuring smile.

"Is everything okay? What happened in there? Is it as bad as El?" Liam shot questions, making a warm feeling enter my heart.

I reached out and laced our fingers together, liking the feeling of his warm hand engulfing mine. I almost gave a snort at his expression but held it in.

"I'm fine guys! Just some simple meds and I should be fine," I reassured, swinging our hands back and forth.

Niall sighed in relief and the others looked happy to know that I was going to be alright. Harry was still in a grumpy mood for some reason.

Noticing the absence of the girls, I gave Louis a questioning glance. He raised his eyebrows as to why I was looking at him.

"Where did the girls go?" I sigh, letting my hand drop out of Liam's hand, much to my dismay.

Liam pouted, his puppy dog eyes killing me on the inside. That boy had no idea what he was doing to me.

"Something about an emergency," Niall's eyebrows furrowed as he thought; I'm guessing he was trying to figure out why they left.

I nodded in understanding; it wasn't a big deal that they had to leave. My phone buzzed in my pocket, surprising me. I grabbed the phone out of my pocket and looked at the text.

'Hello! Collin here, just making sure this is the right number,' Collin Morgan was actually texting me.

I rolled my eyes at myself; he was just a regular person like everyone else in the world. He just had an extremely cool job.

'Yes, this is Eva. Wish I could chat but I'm kind of busy. Bye,' I responded and stuffed the phone back in my pocket.

"Who was that?" Harry asks, leaning over my shoulder to peer down at the phone that was now deep in my pocket.

I shrug, not really wanting to respond to him, "Nobody," I answer as innocently as possible, giving him pleading eyes.

He rolled his eyes and walked away, not liking my answer. He would just have to deal with it; it's my life anyway.

"Is anyone aloud to see Eleanor yet? Have they told you more news?" I ask Louis, who looked deep in thought.

He snapped out of his daze to look at me and shook his head as a 'no.' I frown, furrowing my eyebrows. Maybe she's worse than they told us but I doubt that. I don't think they would just lie.
