I was woken up by a large crackling sound outside my window. I clasped onto my chest panting as I realized it was only lightening, I let out a long breath then reached over his side of the bed to see if he was there. He wasn't.

Where is he? He should be home by now, I thought as I looked at the clock, it read two thirty-seven in the morning. I sighed laying back down only to listen to the rain pelt against the roof, Grayson was supposed to be back by twelve, what has he been doing?

'Let's mind link him to see where he is.' My wolf told me.

'I'll be home in a minute Zoe, go back to sleep.' He demanded.

I turned over and tried to fall asleep but I couldn't, the thunder and lightning kept me awake, I needed him here with me. I tossed and turned until finally I heard the front door open and close, I knew it was Grayson. He walked right in our room, grabbed a pair of boxers from his chest of drawers, and headed towards the bathroom then heard the shower being turned on. I waited about ten to fifteen minutes for him to come out and when he did I immediately sat up straight.

He sighed and sat on his side of the bed in nothing but his boxers. "I told you to go back to sleep."

"I know." I said crawling over towards him and straddling his lap. "But I couldn't fall asleep without you lying next to me."

"I miss you Grayson. For the past two weeks you've been coming home late and it's becoming unbearable." I whispered as I squeezed him tightly.

"I know baby, but I've been really busy with the pack lately."
