Chapter 3 - LastLight returns & Matters of Courting

"We have him on Atlantis actually." I felt First's joy and I couldn't help but smile at him.

Guide and I returned to Atlantis. Sprinter and FirstLight accompanied us. Both boys were smiling and were happy none more so than FirstLight. We walked to the prison cells with John, Teyla, Ronan and Woolsey. The moment we saw Michael FirstLight was yelling his brother name with delight. To say that Michael was shocked to see and hear his brother was an understatement. John opened the prison and both brothers embraced each other. I sensed Michael confusion and pain. He was crying hard in his big brothers arms. I saw the guilty look Ronan and Teyla had. They had realised there mistake. It was good to see. We all remained quiet and let them have their moment. Guide finally decided to approach them. Michael looked up.

"I am Commander Guide former Consort to Queen Snow father of Alabaster. I command the Hive ship Shadow." Guide was cold. I had not yet seen this part of him. It was chilling to watch. His eyes narrowed and I was a little afraid. Michael stood up his face went hard. And I could feel the tension in the air.

"I am LastLight second and last born to Queen Light, the younger twin of FirstLight." LastLight was just as cold as Guide. FirstLight's face was hard and angry. I could see that Last light was showing what had happened to him. FirstLight turned his enraged face to John and his team. If there it was not for the fact that of the alliance he would have killed them.

First, its ok he's safe now you didn't fail him. He did what he had to that day when you were ambushed by Atlantis to protect you. He sacrificed himself for you.

I know it just that... ...He showed me what happened. We have been separated for three years. I sense his pain and fear. I should have known he was alive instead of assuming he was dead. What type of brother am I? I left him.

Big brother, do not feel bad. It is not your fault.

I shit myself I should have realised that they would have reformed the brother bond between them. So I had spoken to both of them instead of just FirstLight. I was about to apologise when Guide addressed him.

"I am only going to give you one chance to re-join the Wraith and become a part of my Hive. If you do not take it Atlantis can have you. Do I make myself clear?"

"Fair enough Blade Commander." What was a Blade? I had not heard of that word before.

"Then let us proceed. You would have the same rank as your brother. As a child rank you will have to earn you way up like normal. I am impressed with the abilities you have displayed. Your brother and your skills are the only reason you are alive. Do you accept the terms?"

"Yes Commander."

Guide had to talk to Atlantis about keeping Michael. Until we returned to the Hive I was in charge of looking after my Sprinter, FirstLight and my new Hive brother. Ronan seemed to follow us everywhere we went. I knew he was waiting for LastLight to make one wrong move so he could kill him. It was wrong. We ended up going to the mess hall. I wanted ice-cream, chocolate milk and chocolate cake with cream. I had not eaten solid food since becoming a Wraith. Also by going into the mess hall it was less likely for Ronan to attack LastLight. The food should distract him enough. I hoped anyway. I raced in with Sprinter at my heels. The brothers slowly walked in a minute or two after us. I got lucky there was chocolate cake and cream. Sprinter grabbed 3. 2 for the brothers and one for him. We sat in the middle of the room grinning like idiots. Sprinter sat next to me so the twins could sit together. They were looking at each other. It would have only been evident to me and Sprinter that they were talking with one another through the bond. The entire room seemed to go quiet when they sat down. It was eerie as the stared at us. Sprinter looked at me and grinned. I knew what he was going to do so I jumped in on it.
