(A/N Skipping to chemistry so I can try and speed things up a bit)

I plopped my bag down next to our table in Chemistry and put my bag over the back of the chair. I pulled out my binder and pencil and sat them on the desk. Glancing over at the board, I looked at what we were doing today. Notes. Great plenty of time to draw. I always did this. I'd write really fast and then just doodle while everyone else worked away. Kyle walked in with his binder already in hand and set his bag down. "Hey." He greeted me.

I have a smile wave and a quiet "Hi."

I'd been doing "better" lately. I say lately in quotations because the only thing I was really improving in was social skills. My mind wasn't any more of a better place than it always has been. Even though I was doing better in social skills, the only person I actually talked to was Kyle. Well no one else really even tried to talk to me. I got my sketchbook out and opened to the tattoo page since I could quickly fix them up between note taking.

"Are you actually gonna get those?" Kyle asked.

"Maybe a few of them yeah."

"They look amazing. Especially that one." He pointed to the quote I wanted across my chest. I had changed the heart a bit, making it look more like the skin was ripped open revealing the heart hidden inside.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"I want to get a tattoo but I don't know what I'd get yet."

I was going to respond but the teacher cut me off when she started taking roll. After roll was done she turned on the projector and started talking about the notes we had to write. I furiously started copying mine down and started working on another idea I had for a tattoo. It was an anchor with two sharks on either side. I got done with the anchor part before I had to take more notes. It went on like that for about 40 minutes until the almost finished sketch was there. There were a few barnacles on the anchor. And I made the two sharks look like bull sharks. There was a crab scuttling along the bottom and a few fish here and there. I cut the edges off to make it look wavy and considered it mostly done.

Notes were done and it was time to start on a microscope lab. We've used them before but our teacher wanted us to review the proper techniques. Kyle got ours and set it up at our table. I grabbed the slide we were supposed to be observing and put it under the lens. "See anything?" I heard Kyle speak up behind me.

"Yeah, there's a few things." I pulled my head away so he could take a turn. The assignment was to draw what we saw and answer a few basic questions. I drew the little worm-like things we saw and answered the questions. I looked over and saw Kyle still looking at the specimens. Never would have guessed he was the science type. The teacher announced we had ten more minutes before we needed to clean everything up.

"You need to look at anything else?" Kyle asked.

I shook my head no and he went to put everything away.

"Did you just draw that?" Kyle asked, sitting back down and pointing towards the anchor.

"Yeah while we were taking notes."

He nodded, "I like it. You should design a tattoo for me."

"I thought you didn't know what you wanted to get."

He shrugged, "I don't but you're creative. I'm sure you could come up with something."

I nodded, "I guess I could try."

He smiled and I blushed and looked down. The teacher called time so I threw my bags over my shoulder getting ready to leave. Kyle did the same and put in a headphone. He offered me one and I took it. Time to see what music he listened to. "You wanna pick the song?" he asked while he scrolled through his selection.

I shook my head, "Go ahead."

He clicked something and I heard 'Bulletproof Love' play through the headphones. I smiled slightly. This was one of my favorite songs. The bell rang and we walked somewhat silently out of the classroom. I started to walk towards the exit gate but Kyle stopped me. "I drove you here. I should drive you back."

I shook my head, "Don't worry you can drive me some other time but thanks."

He nodded and reluctantly walked off. I shoved my own headphones in my ears and walked toward my most likely empty house.
