Isabel was getting second thoughts about this idea. She was the 'to be queen' she couldn't just leave! But she was so fed up with her parents giving her "the best". But her life was in Emerald, how could she just up and at'em leave her home. She was born and raised in Emerald this is where she would be the next queen. Her heart was saying to her that she had to stay there. One day she would beco-
Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock on her bedroom door."come in"she said"my majesty, the king and queen-"uhm he cleared his throat and shuffled uncomfortably "they order you to come to the family room." The steward said in a small voice"excuse me, did you say they ordered me." "Yes."he squeaked "ok." The steward looked at her with such confusion. He reluctantly engaged his arm around hers then lead her to the family room. He left as fast and as casually as his short legs would let him(which was not very much.) soon they were alone. "So I hear you wanted to talk to me." Isabel said
"Yes.I......" The both of them looked at each other "we...think that it is unusual that you would act out like that. And how dare you act out like that, when we have done nothing to offend you in any way! Now her mother's voice was rising, she was just about ready to explode. Then just before she could put her index finger to Isabel's face to shush her in case she spoke,Isabel's father gave his enraged wife a light nudge. She looked as if she just remembered where she was. Then she went back to what they had called Isabel for in the first place. But even through the yelling from her mother Isabel stood statue still, because she knew her next move. Hopefully she was playing her cards right. "Anyway- her mother started. "We think that you have been acting a bit different lately. But are you ok now?"
"Yes mother I am feeling better than ever."
"Good." Her mother replied cheerfully
Isabel took a bow and left immediately. She stopped in her tracks as her father said "as a to be queen you must not let your anger get in the way of what is important.......your role to the kingdom." "Yes father I understand." She turned around and finally left the room. Her father had made those few words seem like something more. She thought about it as she took the voyage down the narrow hall to her room. Nightfall had hit, the moon glowed with bright solar beams now Isabel had thought the decision throughout the day. She was confused and didn't know what was the right thing anymore but in her heart she felt that she was doing herself a favour and her kingdom;especially her parents because there would be no one to lecture. This was her time to strike she put on her fluffy slippers with soft bunnies because there were so many to choose from. She went on her toes like a graceful ballerina in swan lake. She came close to a door when she heard the chatter of voices coming from both ends of the hall then there were four lights shining on Isabel. She tried to scamper out of the way of the blinding lights. There was a quick slash of swords, there were silver glinting reflections in the dark, finally as a shock a voice crept out in the center of the light. "Hey! You! Stop where you are!" The deep voice suited the large man in the castle guard uniform. The glinting light came closer until a strand of hair fell to the floor. She ran out of the way of the men and found a corner to behind. As the light disappeared and the voices drifted into the darkness Isabel had shone her own light into the large silent kitchen.
She had never been into this room for quite a few years. Luckily she had been able to sneak in a "your way around the kitchen:for dummies" and a cookbook which she wasn't going to use. Who needs a cookbook when you have Pbj's!" Is what Isabel thought. She cleared off the first shelf of the fridge then the second, eventually, the third. She was on her way out when a large bowl had hit the ground with what seemed thunderous, the once bowl was soon a million pieces of hardened clay. The voices came close now, closer than before but this time there was no where to hide a voice familiar had appeared out of the shadows a tall skinny figure with eyes of love and warmth. She wanted to come close to investigate the man. She felt as if sh-
Her thoughts were interrupted by the booming voice barking orders at the other men.
Isabel had to find a way out. And find away out now!
