Part 2: Proud Husband

After almost an hour of waiting, the nurse opened the door and called Naoki.

Nurse: "Mr. Irie! Mr. Irie! your wife!"

Naoki: "What happened?" Naoki got shocked and rushed inside the room. He saw Kotoko crying out loud like a child.
Nurse: "She won't stop crying. I told her that there's more patients waiting outside."
Naoki: "What's wrong Kotoko? Are you okay? Hey.."
Kotoko: "Naoki... Naoki..." She hugged Naoki tightly..
Naoki: "It's okay.. maybe it's not the right time.."
Kotoko: "Naoki.. you should be happy.. I'm 3 weeks pregnant!!"
Naoki: "Wha..what? Is it for real?"
Kotoko: "Yes Naoki! You're going to be a dad!!"
Naoki cried and hugged Kotoko even tighter. She kissed Kotoko in the forehead while crying..
Naoki: "You don't know how happy I am Kotoko!"
Kotoko: "Me too Naoki!

Kotoko and Naoki went outside the clinic looking very happy.
Naoki held Kotoko's hands and told her "Starting today, you should be more careful. always take care of yourself"

Kotoko: "I will Naoki, but can you take care of me too?"
Naoki: "It looks like I don't have a choice.."

While walking on the sidewalk, Kotoko saw a bunch of green apples sold by an old man.

Kotoko: "Waaa.." Kotoko ran towards the vendor. "Naoki! I've been looking for these since last week. I felt like I can eat all of these!!"

Naoki: "Okay then.. buy some now"
Naoki told himself that it's one of the symptoms of her pregnancy, he felt guilty because he didn't even notice because he's very busy at the hospital.

Kotoko bought a lot of green apples. As they got home, everyone is outside the house.. waiting..

Mom: "Kotoko!!!"
Kotoko: "Mom!!" She started crying out loud and hugged Naoki's mom.
Kotoko's Dad: "What happened Naoki?"
Naoki: "Dads, Mom, Yuki.. Kotoko is 3 weeks pregnant."

Everyone was filled with joy and started jumping around while Kotoko and mom hugged tightly.

Mom: "We should celebrate!! Let's go Kotoko!"

Kotoko nodded.
