"Apo! Good morning! Halika dito join your old man on his breakfast"
I sat next to him after I greeted him. We were in the balcony facing the beautiful landscape of the entire estate that he own. He likes having breakfast here since I can remember.

"How was your sleep Nicolette?" I cringed when he said my full name,but he just smile at me.
"Not bad!"
Umayos ito ng pagkakaupo at inabot ang tasa ng kape para inumin. Kinuha ko naman ang baso ng mixed berries juice na paborito ko at ininom iyon. Gumaan ang pakiramdam ko kahit paano ng lumapat sa lalamunan ko ang malamig na inumin.
We both look at the view,I missed this place. My brothers and I used to come here every summer vacation.
"Nicholas will go hunting with his friends,you can go with them if you want" umiling ako.
Isinandal ko ang likod ko sa upuan at pinikit ang mga mata,I want to relax rather than go somewhere.
"Maybe some other time,I want to relax"
"It's your call Nicolette,I just want you to enjoy your stay here,hindi iyong nakapirmi ka lang dito sa bahay"
"I know Lo,wala lang talaga ako sa mood na lumabas"
Katahimikan ang namayani sa amin ng ilang sandali. Pero naputol iyon ng dumating si Nicholas.
"Good morning everyone!" Masigla nitong bati.
Nagmulat ako ng mga mata,nakapang hunting suit na ito.
"Morning little one" bati nito sa akin ng humalik sa pisngi ko.
"Morning"
Umupo ito sa tabi ko para makapag almusal. Nagreklamo ako dito ng inumin nito ang juice ko pero tinawanan lang ako nito.
"Wanna join us?" Tanong ni Nicholas sa akin,umiling ako kasabay ng pagsagot ko.
"No thank you"
I took another sip of my juice then I grabbed a piece of grapes,I don't feel like eating.
"Diet ka?" Umiling ako.
"I'm gonna visit the Amparo haven tomorrow,do you wanna come with me?"
That lighten up my mood,I smiled when he mentioned it.
"Yes please! I'd love to come with you"
I see myself busy baking muffins the whole day today.
Nagpaalam ako kay Lolo at Nicholas,I decided to go to the supermarket to buy the ingredients that I needed on baking muffins.
Amparo haven is a family orphanage that my late grandmother Lusia Amparo Ortiz founded three decades ago. She aim to help those homeless and street kids that's why my grandfather built the haven as a gift to his wife. Until it succeeded and now we also have the foundation in Asia particularly on the Philippines. They also offer scholarships for those who are deserving.
