So, I am so sorry I have not been updating. I have been have a lot of school work.
And Captain has been doing great! We have started to eye a end of the month show in May! I'm so excited! Last night when I had a jump lesson on Cap, we tried a Switish oxer... It was VERY interesting what happened... When Captain first when to it he refused, and I know that's bad. But the 2nd time, I kept my leg on and a small tap on his shoulder so he would go. He did jump it, and mind you, this jump was only 2 feet, but my trainer said it looked like we were jumping more like it was a 4 foot jump. So when he jumped I grabbed the neck rope, and fell forward on his neck. Now, please no one go off on me, because I do know that is bad. But when I fell forward, I am left handed, so I had my crop in my left hand. The end of the crop hit my jaw really hard. I was fine, and still am, but it hurts like crazy. After that I did not have the crop, but gave it to my trainer so it would not hit me any more. But we still worked on that jump a little bit more, I would praise Cap when he would jump over it, and little by little he would gain his confidence. Once he finally jumped it as best as could, I cooled him out and then took him back to the barn.
