Serena was in love with the band, Pierce the Veil. Her goals in life were very simple; drag her way through the rest of high school, go see and meet Pierce the Veil, and find a way to turn her small time blog into something big.
Her plans of finishing high school are side tracked by her parent's divorce, a back stabbing boyfriend who left her in pieces for some other guy, and a "burn book" being passed around school. The only thing that goes right is when she scores a ticket to go see a Pierce the Veil concert at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina. She finally meets the people responsible for her being alive today. And then she sees him. Tony Perry. The one who made her feel all warm and fuzzy during her darkest days. Tony was actually there. And her meeting him turned into the best thing she's ever done in her life.
