When the jet landed in the Avengers tower, Dr. Helen Cho and her assistants took Clint as Maria Hill came on board.
"Lab's all set up, boss." She told Tony as Caroline got off the ground.
"Oh, actually they're the boss." Tony said, pointing to Steve and Caroline, "I just pay for everything and design everything and make everyone look cooler."
"Don't sound like a Negative Nancy," Caroline said as she followed Maria and Steve out of the jet as they walked talked about the two Enhanced.
"Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Twins. Orphaned at ten when a shell collapsed their apartment building. Sokovia's had a rough history. It's nowhere special but it's on the way to everywhere special."
"Their abilities?"
"He's got increased metabolism and improved thermal homeostasis. Her thing is neuroelectric interfacing, telekinesis, mental manipulation."
Steve looked at Maria, not grasping any of the information that was given to him.
"He's fast and she's weird." Caroline clarified as the elevator opened.
"Well, they're going to show up again." Steve said as he and Caroline walked into the elevator.
"Agreed. File says they volunteered for Strucker's experiments. It's nuts."
"Right," Steve said before hitting the button, "What kind of monster would let a German scientist experiment on them to protect their country?"
"We're not at war, Captain." Maria pointed out.
"But they are," Steve smiled before the elevator's door closed
"Are you okay?" He asked looking down at his girlfriend.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Caroline lied easily. "Why wouldn't I be?" She faced away from him
"Care, I now when you're lying to me." Steve placed his hand on her shoulder before Caroline turned around revealing her fangs, with veins surrounding her eyes. She hissed out at Steve, who was now leaning against the wall. Caroline got a grip on her blood lust and pulled back
"The bunny diet isn't working,"
"It's okay, we'll have to revert back to the blood bags."
Caroline shook her head, "I'm gonna go see how Clint is doing." She said, letting go of his arm before exiting and going to Bruce's lab.
"Are you sure he's gonna be okay?" Natasha sked Helen as Caroline walked into the lab.
"Pretending to need this guy really brings the team together." She joked, giving both of her friends a smile.
"There's no possibility of deterioration." Helen said, "The nano-molecular functionality is instantaneous. His cells don't know they're bonding with simulacra."
"This is why I failed Biology." Caroline said as she took her place next to Kiara, who was overlooking Clint with Natasha.
"She's creating tissue." Bruce told Natasha and Caroline, fascinated by the topic.
"If you borught him to my lab, the Regeneration Cradle could do this in twenty minutes."
"Oh, he's flat-lining. Call it. Time?' Tony joked as he walked in with drinks in his hand.
"No, no, no, I'm gonna live forever. I'm gonna be made of plastic." Clint said as Tony handed out the drinks giving Caroline the one with negative O blood just the way she liked it.
"You'll be made of you, Mr.Barton. Your own girlfriend won't be able to tell the difference."
"I don't have a girlfriend."
"That I can't fix," Helen said before turning to Tony, "This is the next thing, Tony. Your clunky metal suits are going to be left in the dust."
"That is exactly the plan. And, Helen, I expect to see you at the party on Saturday."
"Unlike you, I don't have a lot of time for parties."
"Come on Helen, you wouldn't want to miss Steve props-" Tony was cut off by Natasha slamming her foot on Tony's which caused her to lift an eyebrow. Kiara shot him glares from behind Caroline, as he tried to respond with facial expressions. But when Caroline turned around to see who was communicating with Kiara eased her face and smiled up at her sister.
Helen said before looking down at her clipboard, " Will Thor be there?"
Caroline crunched her drink and threw it out, still wanting more.
"Are the cravings getting worse? Does Steve know?" Natasha asked as Caroline nodded
"He knows, considering that I almost attacked him in the elevator."
"They can't be that bad," Tony rolled his eyes
"They're so bad that right now I'm fixated on your heartbeat and veins.. and the blood coursing through your body... and I can't help but think how nice would it be to have a bite." Caroline's veins slipped through causing a tiny scare in Tony before Caroline shut her eyes and returning to normal.
"That's pretty bad," Tony said still keeping his distance from Caroline, "Get that girl another blood bag."
