I woke up to see a red sky with ashes flying around. I heard strange sounds I've never heard of. I try to sit up and feel the damp grass beneath me. I'm in a war zone. People with guns and swords. Screams of the dying. Explosions of grenadine bombs going off. I froze in place at the sight of it. What is this?
I was pushed back down by a foot. There was a man in a futuristic armor suit. He was pointing a gun at me.
"The one in Red shall fall." His voice sounded like a discorded song. Like a robot. What is going on? He's going to pull the trigger. I can't get up. Then someone kicked the man off me. They had a black cloak, specialized glasses hiding their eyes, a mask to cover their face, and a gun. They shot the man down. All I could do was sit up in shock. They offered their hand to me.
"Come on, I'll explain later! Quickly!" I take the hand and they piggy backed me as they ran. There were run down buildings and smoke everywhere. It's hard to breathe.
"Hang tight, we're almost there." The cloaked stranger took me to an underground bunker. The room was filled with other people in dark clothing, maps, weapons, and mats. A man in a dark long coat and broken glasses ran up to us.
"Who is this? Song, you can't just bring someone in here he could be one of his spies!" He pulled me off the person's back and looked at me closely.
"Glass, wait! He's only a kid."
"That's no excuse!"
A large man was behind him, his cross belt had grenadine bombs all around it.
"Glass, give him some space. This is DJ, don't you remember Miss Robinson's brother. Lord, knows what he's been through."
"What about you? You're the one carrying over half of the grenadines."
"I'm in charge of weapons. You're in charge of strategy planing and engendering. Stay on your side of the war, I'll stay on mine."The cloaked person ran to both of them and flicked their foreheads.
"Would you two quit it! We're on the same side. DJ, I'm sorry that I haven't introduced myself." They took the mask off but left their dark glasses on. By the features I could see, it was a girl. "I'm Song Bird, or Song is just fine. The one with the glasses is Glass. And the one with the grenadines is Bomb.""Can someone please tell me what's going on?! How do you know who I am?! How did I get here?! Why are we down here?! Where are we?! What was going on up there?! Who's spies are you talking about?! Why did-!?"
"DJ, I need you to calm down." I take a deep breath. "Now frankly, we don't know what's going on either. I wish I could explain everything, but we don't have much time. All I can explain right now is, you are in danger. Bomb, Glass, we need to get him to the safe side." Glass ran to the table and started calculations. Bomb grabbed supplies. "Key!" A man ran to her.
"Yes, Song."
"You're in charge until we get back."
"Understood."Bomb dropped something on my head. It's a jacket.
"You'll stick out like a sore thumb with that red shirt." I put the jacket on.
"So, what am I in danger from?"
"The person who sent you that flash drive. He knew your grandfather and your sister."
"Is he the one who-?" Song grabbed my arm before I could finish.
"Come on, we have to go. Stay close and stay quiet."
