Everything is not as it seems

I have five days a left before I go to New York. I'm actually really terrified, but I'm hoping everything will be okay. The last week is a free week for me because I can't really catch up the whole summer. I'm going to train because I had a dream that woke me up. It's like five in the morning. Little did I know Jax was going to be there. I walk into the training area and there he is throwing axes. I decide to ignore him unless he wants to come up to me. I grab throwing knives and throw them at the mannequin. I need to work on my technique. I'm pretty trash at long range combat. With a sword I'm great, with daggers I'm diligent, but I can't throw. I throw my knives to the ground and one of them slices through my foot. God this hurts. I immediately sit down. "Jax, I need some help," I say.
"Why should I help you?" he says.
"First of all I have a gaping wound. Second of all I didn't do anything wrong, so why wouldn't you help me. You know what I don't need your help if your going to be an asshole," I say. At some point he looked back at me and walked towards me, but I push myself up and hop away and towards the Apollo cabin. The infirmary is much farther. I knock on the door and sit down. One of the girls opens it.
"What do you want?" she says.
"I dropped a throwing knife on my foot and have nobody to bring me to the infirmary, so this is my best bet," I say.
"Nick, Can you bring this girl to the infirmary?"
"Fine," he says. Nick comes out and immediately picks me up. He brings me into the infirmary and the people there attend to my feet.
"I thought Jax went out early to train wonder why he didn't help you," one girl says.
"Because he hates me," I say.
     "He couldn't hate-"
"He hates me because I rejected him,"
"Oh you're that girl," she says nothing else and soon it's just a big scar. After I get out the breakfast bell rings. I'll take a shower after breakfast, but I'm starving. I put on the flip flops they gave me and walk over to the pavilion and sit next to Nico. "
"Where did you go this morning?" Percy asks.
    "To train," I say.
"But you came from that way," Nico says.
"I had to go to the infirmary because I got angery and accidentally dropped a throwing knife on my foot," I say. I look over to Jax across the pavilion.
"Was any one else training?" Piper asks.
"Yeah, but he didn't help me because he's angry at me," I say.
   "Jax you mean," Nico says.
   "Yeah"
"What a jerk," Nico says. I look away from Jax and look to my food. I eat and then go take a shower. After that I go to a stable. I run into Monica.
   "Hey," I say.
"Are you okay I heard about your foot," she says.
   "I'm fine. From who?"
"Jax told me. He's really sorry about this morning,"
"Well I'm not going to forgive him. That hurt like hell,"
"You were both in the wrong,"
"How was I in the wrong?"
"He was going to help you once he knew you were hurt,"
"Well maybe he shouldn't have been a jerk in the first place or ran after me. I was hopping he could have easily helped,"
"Well I take his side in the matter. You crushed his heart," she says.
"Should I have dated him even though I didn't want to?"
   "Yes"
"I'm done with this conversation," I walk over to butterscotch and ride away. I immediately start to cry. Butter scotch lands on the beach and I get off and sit down in the sand.
   "What's wrong?" She asks.
"Monica just abandoned me," I say. Suddenly I get a tap on my back. I look behind me and there's Anthony. I'm really happy to see a friendly face. "What are you doing here?" I ask.
"Well, I go here a lot. Usually nobody is here, it's calming. Anyways, are you okay?" He asks with a worried expression.
"Monica, she took Jax's side. I know I was a bit harsh on him this morning, but he was harsh. A lot more harsh. He should have at least tried to help me. I didn't do anything to him. I just told him the truth," I say.
"Well, Monica is quite backstabbing. Isn't she? I got your back though," he says.
    "Really?" I say eyes wide.
"Of course. What are friends for? Let's get you back to camp," he says as he pulls me out of the sand. "We can walk back. You can fly to the stables," he says to Butter scotch. I nod and she takes off. We walk along the beach. Anthony's arm is around me and I'm still sort of crying. I'm glad he was there. I needed someone. Needing is so hard for me to understand. Why would life put us in such a position? "Do you want to get food at the pavilion? Lunch is in about five minutes," he says.
"Yeah, That's a good idea. I'm actually starving," I say with a slight smile.
As we are walking by the stables I see Percy. He immediately frowns as he sees my face. I run up to him and hug him. "Who do i have to fight this time?" I laugh, but give no clear answer. He throws me over his shoulder and runs me to the pavilion. The lunch bell rang as we got there. "You know just how to cheer me up."
I get grilled cheese and tomato soup. People are just arriving now. I see Jax and Monica, but Anthony tell me to pay no mind. A couple others sit with us too. Basically all of Percy's friends.
After lunch I head to the pool. A swimming class happens to be going on. It's mostly people I haven't met. Although I do see Nico sitting on the side of the dock. He's not really in proper swimming attire, but I go sneakily under the dock. I grab his foot and yank him under. I swim up to the surface and I see Nico absolutely fuming. "I swear. I'm going to kill you this time," he says. His face redder than a fire trunk.
"Only if you catch me," I wink at him and swim under. I swim straight out into the sound. I'm look behind me to see Nico not as far behind as I thought. Actually gaining on me. How in the hell? His hand brisk my ankle. He's so close now. He manages to grab my leg and drag me back. I kick my legs and hit something hard. He lets go and I look back at him. He has a bloody nose and a busted lip. Gods, I didn't mean to do that. "Are you okay?" I ask.
"I'm fine," I look at his injuries. It doesn't look fine.
"Lets head to the dock," I say. We swim to the dock and sit on the side. "Let me see," I say. I grab a tissue from my backpack and hand it to him. He pushes my hand away. "I'm fine. I don't need it," he says.
"At least tip your head forward," I tell him.
"Fine," he says. I bring his head to the side to see his lip.
"I'm so sorry. Luckily it doesn't seem to bad," I say.
"I'm fine. It's just a kick to the face," he says.
"I'm still sorry," I say.
"I forgive you. Don't worry about it,"
"Okay. Come on," I grab his hand and pull him along.
"Where are we going?"
"First, dry clothes are important, but after that it's a surprise."
"I don't do surprises."
"I don't care. Anyways, I'm going to change so go do your thing."
"Do I have to?"
"Yes," I say as I push him towards his cabin and run to my own. I change quickly and put my hair into a pony tail. Then, I walk over to the Hades cabin. "Hurry up," I yell probably louder then I should of. He walks out finally and I grab his arm.
"You know I could just follow you. You don't have to drag me everywhere," he laughs.
"Oh my goodness. You laughed. I'm so proud," I say releasing his arm. "Anyways, I sometimes have weird dreams. You know the ones, right?" I look to him. He nods. "And I had one last night that was actually good. In the dream, I was walking in he woods with someone and I went under a willow tree and its probably nothing, but I want to see if its real. Somehow it feels significant like it will change everything," I say.
"Why would you want anything to change? You have family and friends," he says.
"I have my mother who doesn't even want to see me before I go to school in New York. I don't exactly view that as good. I have friends who abandoned me for someone who hurt me. I guess my point is, I have Percy," I say.
"Yes you have Percy, but also Annabeth, Piper, Leo, Hazel, Frank, Jason. The list goes on. You have so many people that have your back. Plus you have me for what its worth," he says. Oddly enough that statement has made my day. I look around to see a huge willow tree.
"Nico look," I point over to the tree and run into it. "You have to get in here," I call. I lay
Directly on the ground covered in flecks of light. It's like a kaleidoscope. Nico lays next to me and we silently coexist. After awhile we decide we have to leave as its getting close to dinner. We walk back to camp.
When we get there Percy approaches me. "Where were you guys?" Percy asks.
"We just took a walk," I say.
"I guess that makes sense," Percy says. The dinner bell rings. We all go to the pavilion. I have mac and cheese. I go directly to bed after. I've had a long day.
