I just wanted to say that this story is very short, even for a short story. It was written for a creative writing competition at school, which meant there was a word limit of 1000 words. I managed to just stay under that limit.
This story is loosely based on some of my own experiences.
Update: The results have been published and it turned out that this novel won second place.
