Review: this is a good read following the adventures of a fifteen year old boy named Eragon in the land of Aligasia. When Eragon finds a polished blue stone high in a mountain range, his life is threatened by the king who possesses the only known dragon eggs. When the stone hatches Eragon is forced to accept that he is a dragon rider and the king will be after him. When the king sends men to capture him he escapes but his uncle is killed. With the help of and old man (who is more than he seems) Eragon sets out with his dragon Saphira in search his uncles killers. Along the way they discover the where abouts of the Varden a mysterious group of rebels. When Eragon finally reaches the rebel base he not only finds friends but a secret hidden in his past.
