This guy is pure awesomeness! He is an OC I made for one miss Taki_red_blood 's One Piece Story.
So hears how his story goes.
He is the grandson of the great pirate, Slivers Rayleigh. He grew up in Utsukushisa Island with his Mother, Astilla and his younger sister, Violet.
His father was said to have been a high-ranking marine who, despite her being a pirate, fell in love with Astilla.
When the Marines found out about the love affair, he was relinquished from his duties, and was killed by some of his own men.
A few years later his mother died from a deadly Illness, which left him and Violet by themselves.
Azul knew about his grandfather, Slivers, and wanted to be just like him since. He wanted to live up to his legacy.
Then, when Violet turned 16 she decided to join the marines, much to Azul's dismay.
Since that day they haven't talk or made contact.
He got his Devil Fruit powers when he was 11, after eating the Aura Aura Fruit.
The day he became a pirate was when he met Taki after she fell from the sky. He nursed her back to health and after a chain of events, became a pirate to help Taki save Ace with Luffy and others.
