A Poem

The stark and sterling knight, drifted past the woods,
Distant barks haunting the path he took,
Gasping for breath, He emerged from the trees,
Glancing the plane in front, his hope crumbled with ease.

There stood a vast army, he intended to protect,
The banners held high, with a pride that shined,
They marched, with victory in mind,
But, the Knight....knew....better.

There was doom awaiting them,
But, the oblivious soldiers still dared,
The Knight hurried to warn them,
But the hounds got him then.

The resonating march came to a stop,
When the mystical being roared aloud,
Its Bloodlust eyes pierced his prey,
For the end was now imminent.

Vortex of flames rained upon the plane,
There was no retreat or defence for them,
Flesh, Pride, Hope melted away,
The army tasted The Dragon Rage.
