Sixty nine: light

5 1 0

The warm rays settling on my check

The sun that brightened my path

And led me to peace

Where I could rest

That I miss

The light is an old friend

That I miss so dearly

Darkness found me

And I hate to say

That he's my friend

A replacement

He twisted my thoughts

And filled my words with lies

My eyes are for crying

Not for seeing

I miss you light

But the darkness has took your place

And he has seemed to consume me

Like a lion does a lamb

You were soft like the sky

He's sad like the moon

But my dear

He has placed his weights and his chains around my wrists

They scratch and scar

He's trapped me here now

I can't turn back

I'm already under his spell

So I guess this is

Goodbye...light
