The childs panicking body became lifeless; it became a limp doll,a corpse . His mother was still on the phone , beaming and exclaiming loudly into her phone ,unaware that her son had swallowed shocking amounts of water ,I watched anxiously ,tears welling in my own eyes ,as lifeguards rushed the boy onto a dry surface .Innumerable people huddled over the immobile body watching,staring ,hoping that consciousness would return to the child ;and responsibility would be shaken into his unaware mother. Elders and young people alike released a collective sigh as water poured out of the boys mouth.His eyes breaking open ,the holiday makers averted their eyes to glower at his foolish mother .
