"The U.S. spent roughly 140 billion dollars in Vietnamese war."

Daniel pulled the smaller boy to where he had parked his motorcycle, cursing under his breath as he noticed the parking ticket. He shoved it in his pocket and turned around to face Joey, who as Daniel expected had a slight puzzled look on his face
D: "never rode a motorcycle before?"
J: never drove a car before, and not a motorcycle for that matter" he mumbled.
Daniel simply laughed and got on, handing his helmet to Joey before waiting for him to get on as well. Joey carefully boarded the motorcycle and hesitantly wrapped his arms around Daniel's torso as they drove off.
After quiet some time of driving they arrived at a small dinner,, Daniel grinned eagerly.
J: what are we doing here? I thought you were taking me home
Daniel shrugged slightly as he opened the door for Joey both stepping in
D: you never told me your address
He simply nodded as they took a seat in the mostly empty place.
A waitress came over and offered them a kind smile, she seemed a bit tired
X: Hey Daniel! What can I get you and you're friend today?
D: hi Aaiylah, two milkshakes please.
The waitress nodded and walked off,, humming a familiar tune softly.
And there Daniel and Joey sat awkwardly, Joey fidgeting with the with his camera as Daniel looked out the window,,, his green eyes gazing around. They reminded Joey of the ocean a bit, but he simply shook his head. He just wanted to home and rest in all honestly although the boy infront of him was beautiful. He couldn't resist staring at him.
Not taking his eyes off the window, Daniel spoke up
D: "so, you queer?"
Joeys eyes shot up, a mixture of anger and confusion in his eyes. But he couldn't help but burst out
J: "So what if I am?"
He couldn't believe he had said it aloud. To Daniel Preda, a boy he had met not even a hour ago. He was so stupid. But Daniel's face remained the same. As if it wasn't a surprise. As if he had asked him what his favorite color or animal was. Nonchalantly.
D: "I figured. You couldn't stop staring at me a while back" he said, a laugh escaping his plump lips.
Joey was astonished at what Daniel had said. Perhaps even a bit offended for that matter. Yes this Daniel dude was highly attractive and had brought him to this dinner and whatnot but he seemed like a complete jerk.
Luckily before any of us could the waitress whos name I had already forgotten arrived with our food, placing it in front of us before nodding a bit and scurrying off.
"So tell me about yourself Joey. Tell me your story" Daniel said abruptly, as if he had forgotten about the question he had ask.
J: "Are you serious"
The older boy muttered through gritted teeth, his face looked soft but his bright eyes seemed intense as they flicked up at Daniel. The younger boy simply raised her brows, he seemed addled as the boy spoke but took a sip of his milkshake nonchalantly.
D: "pardon me?"
J: "first you bring me to this shitty cafe when all I wanted to do was go home, then you" he took a small breath as he looked down and continued "asked me if I was gay and now you want to tell you about myself?"
D: "I thought it would be a good start to the conversation as you didn't exactly me asking you if you were gay."
Joey grunted and pulled out a few bills from his pocket before throwing them infront of Daniel.
J: "here's for gas and for the shitty milkshake you got me"
Joey then rushed out the door, not looking back.
What an asshole.
