I was in my office when a messenger bird came through my window, my personal Anbu came out of the shadows to check and make sure no justu was placed on it "it's clear Hokage-sama" he said while handing the message over I nodded and waved my hand to dismiss him, I opened the message and my eyes widened in alarm I waved my hand again getting my Anbu "I want you to get Naruto Uzumaki here immediately" I ordered sternly "yes My Lady" they replied then they were gone, I waited for a few minutes and the next minute Naruto walked through my door "you wanted to see me granny" he asked curiously "yes Naruto, there is a problem and unfortunately..." I was cut off by the rest of the rookies barging into my office "who gave you permission to come in here" I shouted started to lose my temper "we saw Anbu with Naruto so we thought he might need help" Sakura announced not realising that I wasn't in the mood

"So you all decided to barge into my office without thinking that I might be having a meeting" I said slowly my eyes narrowing slightly, they all looked at me and I can see it in their eyes that they've just realised their mistake "anyway Naruto before I was rudely interrupted" I looked at them before I continued "your mission is finally over" I finished watching the others faces scrunch up in confusion especially the Uchiha "yes Hokage-sama" Naruto replied which shocked the rookies "my Lady what's going on" Sakura asked confused, I sighed already feeling a headache forming "Naruto has been on a mission for a long time and with some news I received today I need him, so Naruto could you take the genjutsu off please" I said gently looking at the boy who is like my godson, he did the hand sign and then there was smoke in the room when the smoke had disappeared standing were the Naruto everyone knew, know stood the real Naruto, in his true form

Sasuke POV

"Naruto has been on a mission for a long time and with some news I received today I need him, so Naruto could you take the genjutsu off please" Tsunade said I frowned when did the dobe have a genjutsu on I thought trying to figure out what was going on but before I could question anything smoke was covering were the dobe was, my eyes widened when the smoke cleared and standing there wasn't the dobe that we've all known "could you state your name and profession" Tsunade asked him softly "you all know my name so I wont bother telling you that but my profession is I'm an Anbu captain codename Kitsune" he announced coldly I saw everyone's expressions this wasn't the dobe we went to the academy with "how long have you been in the Anbu" Shikamaru asked frowning slightly Naruto looked at Tsunade first and when she nodded he looked back at us "since I was 4" he answered again coldly "what" everyone shouted including me but we didn't get anymore answers since Tsunade told gave him the scroll and then disappeared into thin air

"My Lady" Sakura started but couldn't finish Tsunade sighed "you all know that Naruto holds the nine tailed fox inside of him" she paused looking at us we nodded she stood up and walked to the window "if I had known what they would do I would've come back to the leaf and took him with me, but I wasn't fast enough, unlike you all Naruto didn't have a choice, it was either he join the ranks of Anbu or he was killed" she said angrily but there was an undertone of sadness "I don't understand why didn't the Third protect him, wasn't he Naruto's friend" Sakura asked as tears ran down her face "Sarutobi wanted Naruto to be able to take care of himself but what he didn't know was that Naruto was never going to be the same, he was put under the training of Itachi Uchiha" Tsunade commented turning around and looked at me "Itachi was the only one who tried to give him a little bit of childhood before his training truly began" she answered knowing that I didn't want to hear about him
