Monkey Bars

As the last barrier falls
You break into my mind
You steal my thoughts and emotions
I scream in silence
You take a look into the swirling pit of darkness and hellish things that reside within me.
You step back, but you keep you stubborn closeness.
And I remember when I fell off the monkey bars and got a bloody nose.
You kept the same stubborn closeness in my time of need.
And once again, you pull me out of this pit of growling hatred for myself
With no hint of fear
Only confidence that you can fix me
And seeing that in your eyes, I feel it to. The tiny bit of myself that I didn't destroy
The minuscule part of me that still has hope.
And you hold my hand
Firmly
And lead me to the path that can be lightly tread on.
Thank you,
Jenny.
