It's been about twelve days since the accident. I am seeing my new nose today. Weird, I never thought about surgery before. I'd only ever had my tonsils out. I had never been particularly fond of my nose but I'd dealt with what I'd been given. The doctor walked in and sat in front of me. "How are we today Ms Brown?" I replied that I was fine but a bit nervous. "No need to worry Ms Brown. Let's have a look at you." He placed something under the guard on my nose and slowly pried it off. He also removed the bandage from my head. "You ready?" I glanced up at him and nodded nervously. He held the mirror up for me to look at and...wow. Oh, wow. I looked like a totally different person. I had a cute little button nose and the gash was now replaced with a fine line that was healing nicely. My face was thinner. Lets just say hospital food and morphine don't mix well. I looked so different and the thing is... I liked it. I'm going home today. They had the funeral already. I obviously couldn't go. I'm going to the reading of the will tomorrow...
