A Witches Imprint - The Truth, Part II

“So you mean to tell me that the original vampire, Count Dracula, is trying to kill you because you possess the power to kill him?”

“Yes. I was seven when he first came for me. My mother was a very powerful witch and she was trying to teach me to control my powers. Neither of us knew of the prophecy, we didn’t know that we should be careful with my abilities. Zavier knew though. He felt the power and came for me. My father and brother were in the house when he came. He grabbed them and dragged them out to the backyard where my mother and I were. He told us then, what I was, what he wanted from me. He wants me to join him, he figured that if I was on his side then he wouldn’t have to worry about me, either that or he was going to kill me and everyone I loved,”

“My mother wouldn’t let me go, she tried fighting him. Tried getting him away from my father and brother but it was too late; it took him no more than five seconds to end their lives. I didn’t know what was going on, I remember my mother grabbing me after they fell to the ground, dead. She said a quick spell and got us out of there. We went into hiding after that,”

“Tatiana I am so sorry,” He said, he came over and sat in the chair with me, pulling me onto his lap comforting me again.

“Then six months ago he came again. I don’t have control over my powers yet, and sometimes when I feel a really strong emotion my powers become unstable,” I had to pause and choke back a sob, this was harder than I thought, “I was mad at my mother. I didn’t understand why she wouldn’t let me leave the house. I was yelling at her and the next thing I know my powers lashed out at her, I didn’t hurt her but it was enough to notify Zavier as to where I was. He came again, and this time he took my mother. I had to leave her there to die as I ran.”

I finally broke down. I grabbed onto his shirt and pulled him closer to me, burying my head into his chest. He didn’t say anything; he just held me close and let me cry into his chest. I don’t know how long I sat like that but I was finally able to pull myself together enough to move away from him. I noticed that my tears had stained his shirt.

                “Sorry,”

“Don’t ever apologize for crying. I am just glad I was here to be able to comfort you,” He said giving me a small smile.

“I’m glad too. So do you have any other questions?” I asked wiping away the remaining tears on my cheek.

“Just two, how did you know about my pack and I? And why did you decide to tell me all of this?”

“My mother always said that I had ‘the sight’ I was always able to see a person for who they really are. Meaning I can pick out a criminal from a saint and a supernatural being from a mortal,”

“That’s pretty cool. Maybe you should become a lawyer with that power,” He said chuckling, trying to break the tension that could still be felt in the room.

“As for your second question… I don’t really know, everyone was telling me to tell you, that I should trust you and you deserve to know the truth and I guess I just wanted you to understand. If you understood then we would be able to move forward and maybe actually have some sort of relationship,” I mumbled out the last part.

“Before I jump for joy about the fact that you want a relationship, who is everyone?”

“Umm…” I could tell him about the spirit guide, but I knew that telling him about Clyde would just anger him, “Rabbit, he is my spirit guide, my connection to the Earth. He is there to guide me and help me when things become too much… and…”

                “And…?”

                “Clyde,” I whispered out.

“Clyde?” He questioned through clenched teeth.

“He is a vampire and…” I didn’t get through my explanation because he was up and heading towards the door. I quickly jumped up and stopped him from going out and killing Clyde.

                “Move!”

“No, not until you listen to me!” I shouted pushing him backwards; I put some effort into it and was able to push him so that he was sitting on the couch. I sat on him, straddling his legs so that he couldn’t go anywhere.

“He was given a magical ring made by my mother. It allows him to walk in the sun; the only clause was that he had to help me with my destiny. My mother added a spell into the ring that allowed us to recognize and trust each other. He is a friend that is here to help me and I won’t allow you to hurt him!”

“I quite like this position,” was all he said. I didn’t know whether I wanted to yell at him or laugh. I tried getting off of him but he placed his hands on my hips stopping my movements. I tried to wiggle out of his grasp, but he was reacting to it in ways that immediately halted my movements as I could now feel him pressing against me.

“I am sorry that I over reacted, but you said yourself that the only reason we were created was to kill Vampires and when I heard that you trusted a vampire before me, something snapped and for that I am sorry,”

“I didn’t plan on telling him, but after my little confession to you yesterday I felt better, it was nice knowing that someone else knew what I went through. When I found out that he was ‘sent’ to me by my mother things just started pouring out of me, I just wanted someone to understand,”

“And why didn’t you trust me?”

“Because a part of me still thinks that you are going to choose to leave me,” I whispered quietly.

“Never,” Was all he said before pulling me into a hug.

“We still have to tell your pack, and majority vote rules. I am not going to put them in danger just because I am your mate. And you cannot command them to vote your way,”

“Fine, let’s go tell them now,”

With that he picked me up and carried me out to his truck. This was it, we were going to go and tell his pack, the moment of truth…
