James

I plopped onto my warm welcoming bed after I had just uploaded a video. It was a personal one, I was talking about self-harm, suicide, and the like with my drawings. I had recently received an email from a fan, they had told me that they were going through problems and that things got worse but after watching my videos she became happier, problems started to be a lot easier to deal with too apparently. I was happy that I made people around the world feel loved, I myself went through those things and I just want everyone else to know they aren't alone in any of this, and thus my YouTube channel started.

At first it was just some song covers, maybe around ten. Then I thought, 'What the fuck, I want to play some games.' It received good feedback and I started making more, my subscribers grew and of course there are the occasional haters which made me do some unworthy things and think of ungodly thoughts, but that's the internet for you. Of course I didn't stop, I realized that some people were happy, so I started making all sorts of videos, animations, song covers, art how-to's, some guitar, violin, and drum tutorials, gaming, and the emotional ones.

I have never once shown my face in any of these videos. I thought it was unnecessary and I didn't really like the thought of going outside just to have a crowd of girls and guys swarm me, so no. Only my family which have all passed except for my cousin that lives abroad, closest friends, and recently former girlfriend know what IamGENOCIDE looks like. Yeah, former girlfriend. I don't really like talking about her.

Last I checked my subscribers, they were a whopping 2 million! Which is hard to believe since I'm practically a loser in real life, but they don't need to know that.

I stood up from my comfy position when I heard the phone ring from the living room. Walking into the kitchen I opened the fridge to grab a can of root beer and opened it, hearing the familiar hissing sound.

I walked over to the phone that was still ringing and picked it up, "Yo!" I sipped from my can as I listened to the other line, "Jamie! It's me, Ethan. Well, I actually have no-one else to call to for this, that are relatives, so I decided on calling you." Okay, at this point I was beyond confused, "'The bloody hell are you talking about, Eath?"I hear him take a shaky breath which made my heart speed up a little, "James, I have Leukaemia." I spit out my root beer as my eyes widened, Ethan was a healthy and jolly guy, he did sports and he only stays indoors for so long when he's sick or binge watching Steven Universe. Or maybe Pewdiepie.

"What?" My voice cracked. He was my only family left! "I remember collapsing in the middle of a call with and friend when my vision got blurry. Then next thing I know I hear the doctor tell me I have cancer." I placed the can on the table where the phone was and placed my hand over my mouth, "Oh God..."

I shook my head, no way us this happening. "James, can you come here?" I nodded then realized he couldn't see me, "Yeah... yeah... I'll be there, I'll just schedule my flight, okay? Don't worry, Eath, I'm with you." I heard him sigh then he apologized for the problem but I just shook my head and stayed silent. After a while we said our good bye's and I waited for the line to get cut before I collapsed to the floor.

"Ethan."
