Chapter Fourteen

Nick's P.O.V

We didn't get home from the engagement party until two am. During the entire ride Anna fell asleep. She looked so peaceful sleeping and I just wanted to watch her sleep like that, but we had to get home.

I woke her up to get to her room but she was too tired so I carried her upstairs and layed her down on the bed.

I told her to undress while I unzipped her dress, She took it off and threw it on the floor and was getting into bed with only bra and panties and as much as I like what she was wearing, she needed to be warm for the baby so I handed her my favorite shirt, she put it on and fell asleep.

When I got into bed she snuggled up against me, I don't know how long I watched her sleep for but the next thing I know is that she's not in bed.

I look at the time and its 8, I close my eyes and go back to sleep.

"Wake up," Anna said.

"I want to sleep in," I said.

"You have to eat breakfast and then come with me to the doctors," she said and I opened my eyes, I looked for her in our room but she was in the bathroom. I got up and headed towards the bathroom.

"Are you ok," I said while watching her.

"Yea, why," she said looking at me.

"You said we have to go to the doctors that's why," I said looking at her with a confused face.

"The doctor's appointment isn't for me, it's for the baby."

"I missed my ultrasound the beginning of the month and I have to go now before we go to France," she said while walking out the bathroom and heading for her wardrobe.

"The ultrasound is when you see and hear the baby right," I asked.

"Yea, and I'm sorry for not telling you earlier, I forgot until I saw the date. I mean you don't have to go if you do-," she said before I stopped her.

"I'm going, whether you want me to go or not, we're a family now," I said while kissing her forehead and taking a quick shower. By the time I finished taking the shower and dressed it was 8:45 and headed downstairs where everyone was eating breakfast.

"Good morning, everyone," I said while walking into the kitchen and getting my plate that Anna was making.

"You coming to the appointment," Brandon asked.

"Of course," I said.

"You'll finally get to meet Dr. Angel," Isabella said.

"You guys went before," I asked to the kids.

"Yup, we were there when mom found out she was pregnant," Lucas said while finishing his breakfast.

"How was it," I asked and they all about in the hospital room and how they got there.

It was fun watching the kids tell me everything and I was happy that I'm going to be their father. Anna's parents asked if they could come and she said why not, we all left the house after breakfast and went to the hospital.

The receptionist looked surprised that so many people were here for one person. The kids gave her Anna's name and we waited 10 minutes before we were called into the room. We all went in and it was quite big because we all had to fit.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Angel and you must be the father," the doctor said while extending her hand out for me, I shook it and gave her my introduction.

"Yes, and her husband," I said to the doctor and she smiled.
