Fears

Her face is pale,

Eyes shine with tears.

She is haunted by her past,

Haunted by her fears.


Scared that they'll hate her,

Terrified they'll see

The things she kept hidden

And who she used to be.


Her knees grow weak,

She sinks to the floor.

Her fears taunt her,

She can't take much more.


Her heart feels numb

As she takes her last breath.

Her fears push her to the edge

And, slowly, silently, she falls to her death.....
