overwhelmed with the thunderous noise, god shrieked and lashed out at the intertwined couple with orion's belt. stars impacted with mortal flesh and the bodies sizzled away, slaughtered.
(their breathing ceased together, cuddled in an alcove of their humdrum lives. his lips tipped up as oxygen oozed away, freedom, while her face remained motionless.)
eros, inventor of their love, fled. the intimacy they shared was a patchwork of his own cells, gently crafted in his caring palm. but this creation had mutated — a tumour that metastasized into an artless monstrosity. grief engulfed him and detonated inside his heart.
he fell, spiralling down into nullity.
