You sat at your ancient Microsoft desktop, hoping that your best friend would have time to message you tonight. He always messaged, but sometimes was too tired and fell asleep halfway through your 3 am conversations. Other times, though, it would last through dawn for him, and be at midnight for you. Only one problem, however. The only thing you knew about him was his screenname, DerpyGuy22. The computer's beep shook you out of your reverie.
DerpyGuy22: hey

DerpyGuy22: wyd?
Userunknown4: nm. U?
DerpyGuy22: just sitting on my couch.
Userunknown4: cool
DerpyGuy22: how was your day?
Userunknown4: good. U?
DerpyGuy22: i thought about unicorns and our relationship today.
Userunknown4: wat did you think about our relationship?
DerpyGuy22: i think that it's time we meet in person.
Userunknown4: i do too.
DerpyGuy22: wat country do you live in?
Userunknown4: America. And ik you're British
DerpyGuy22: how?!
Userunknown4: you use words like flat and pavement... obvi
DerpyGuy22: oh. Ok i thought u might b stalking me... some people do.

DerpyGuy22: im a tiny bit... weird. Anyway, im visiting the us in a little while... umm can we meet up?
You're puzzled by the first part but happily agreed anyway. Your conversation continued toward less normal topics, as usual. The amazing thing about this is how we can talk about anything at all, you thought. Then you smiled at the thought of meeting him. The beep made you look again.
