"not as scary as me, y/n. you've got some explaining to do." Mari stated, crossing his arms. "hehehhehheh...heh. I can explain, I fell asleep at work and-"

"the work where you got sexually assaulted?"

"yes."

"you slept here? Where you were attacked?"

"yes."

"you're lucky I care about ya, otherwise you'd be dead. Its already time to start your shift so I'll stick around." Stuffing his hands in his pockets and putting a lollipop in his mouth, he sat at one of the booths at the back.

"ugh, now I have grumpy stripes watching me. Urgh!" I groaned, but never-the-less opened the pizzeria

I welcomed the early guests, phoned everyone to come in and tried to stall everyone. At last, Mike and kristie arrived, hand-in-hand. Resting their foreheads on the others and smiling. "morning you two!" I chirped, tossing them their uniforms. Turns out, we were meant to keep them here, but arrive early to change, oopsie. "good morning!" Mike chirped back before kissing Kirstie's cheek and leaving to change. She silently walked past, brushing her shoulder against mine as she left to the bathrooms.

"whats her problem with me?" I asked Skye.

"I dunno, maybe because you made it out of the night shift without a scratch. Ah well, get on with life, if she doesn't like you, she'll mainly avoid you." Nodding, I walked away to start my jobs.

~time skip~

I felt a light tap on my shoulder. Slowly, I turned around to find Kirstie. "hi Kirstie. Anything the matter?" I asked. She rubbed her thighs anxiously.

"um, so y/n, I was wondering if, after work, you wanted to go for coffee or something." Her voice seemed a lot warmer than usual.

"sure, sounds like fun. I know a great coffee place just around the corner." Smiling, she nodded. "I'll wait for you in the car park after our shift." I nodded in reply and carried on with my shift.

~time skip to end of shift~

I got changed in the bathroom, put my uniform in the locker and headed to the door. However, I found myself face to face with Mari. "where are you going?" he folded his arms sassily. "I'm going to meet Kirstie for coffee. I'm allowed to, aren't i? besides, its half term. You go home, I'll meet you later."

He scowled slightly, sighed and walked out. Okay, time to go to the coffee shop with Kirstie.
