"Happy birthday." I smiled and looked up at you as you sat in front of me.

I leaned my back against the brick wall and you smiled and put out your cigarette.

"Thanks." You chuckled and looked up at the moon.

"Here." I picked up the black box beside me and handed it to you.

"Lunatic." You held it and looked at me.

"Bentley." I crossed my arms.

"You didn't need to get me a present." You raised an eyebrow and I smiled.

"Open it you twit." I laughed and you chuckled.

I have to admit, I definitely missed you in between those full moons.

You were definitely just a boy then.

A simple boy.

"Oh my God." You laughed as you pulled out the black and silver telescope.

"You like it?" I leaned forward and rested my elbows on the cement in front of my crossed legs.

"It's amazing. And expensive. What the hell! Why did you waste your money on me?!" You looked at me with your eyes wide but your hands were still wrapped around the scope.

"It wasn't a waste. Remember how I said not many things peak my interest?" I smiled and looked back at the stars.

"Yeah." You whispered.

"Well you do." I closed my eyes and my smile grew.
