Mia's pov
Today is the start of winter break today marks three weeks since the double date and since then Carl has been my bestfriend. He's always been there for me and we are gonna hang out today after school.
I got dressed in a Nike hoodie jacket thing black jeans and converse and a white undershirt.
Today I decided to take the bus to school because it was freezing
Messages-
Mia:hey Carl wanna take the bus with me today
Carl💖:yea ill meet you I front of ur house in 15 min
Mia:see you here :)
I decided I would eat lucky charms for breakfast.
After that I got a text from Carl saying he was outside so I slipped on my converse grabbed me bag and went out the door
"Hey Mia" Carl said hugging me
"Hi, are you excited"I said
"For what"Carl said
"Winter break and that today's a half a day"I said going on the street to see if the bus was coming
"Oh yea wanna hang out" Carl said looking over his shoulder
"Ew what the hell why would I want to hang out with you"I said pretending to gag
"Because I'm awesome" Carl said flipping his imaginary long hair
I just laughed and started walking to the bus with Carl following me
Today Tina comes back to school and I know for dam sure she takes this bus
I walked all the way to the back of the bus and about mid way I saw Tina sitting alone
After like 40 seconds I realized Carl wasn't coming so I moved to the isle seat and stuck my head out to see where he was
I saw his backpack in the walk way and then I realiszed he was sitting with Tina
I was really sad
When the bus stopped I front of school everybody got out except for me
I didn't wanna face Carl,
After 3 minutes the bus driver started to check if anyone left anything on the seats
So i slumped down in my seat and closed my eyes
"Uh wake up ur at school"the bus man said shaking me harshly
"Oh okay sorry" I said grabbing my backpack from the floor and throwing it over my shoulder
I walked off the bus biting the inside of my cheek
Everyone was inside
I planned on skipping but it was to cold for that. Considering I didn't wear a jacket jacket
I went to my locker and saw Nina standing by it
"Where the hell were you were late to first period"Nina said throwing her hands up in the air
I just shrugged my shoulders and said "sorry"with no emotion
"What's wrong"Nina said looking at me
"Nothing just tired"I said going in my locker and taking out my books
Nina walked me to first period and said bye
I walked in the classroom
"Well Mia it's nice of you to finally join us"my teacher said looking up from his computer
I just ignored him and went to my seat
"Hey where were you"Carl whispered
"I kinda went on the same bus as you I'm not sure if you remember considering you were all up Tina's ass"I said rolling my eyes
"Chill, I'm sorry I just haven't seen her in like 3 weeks" Carl said furrowing his eyebrows together
"Whatever" i said writing the date on my paper
The rest of the period Carl didn't talk to me
Even though I was trying to ignore him I was a little hurt
The next two periods past really fast and it was time to leave
I went to the bathroom first and then to my locker so the hallways pretty much looked like they did in the morning
Empty
I threw my backpack in my locker and walked outside
I was walking to the train station because the school busses didn't run on half a days
"You thought we weren't gonna still hang out"Carl said putting his arm around me
"Ok fine" I said smiling
"YESSS" Carl Said huggin me tightly and lifting me up in the air
"Put me down" I said laughing
"where do you wanna go" i said checking the time on my phone
"We could get pizza"Carl said
"Sounds good to me"I said looking at my shoes
"Alright let's goo"Carl said running
"Wait for me "I said laughing while trying to catch up to him
We finally got to the pizzeria but it was packed, with almost everyone from our school considering it was a half a day.
"I don't wanna go in Carl" I said getting really nervous
"Come on"Carl said crossing the street to the pizzeria block
"There aren't any tables"I said trying to come up with excuses not to go in
"I see John and Alex we could sit with them Carl said opening the door
I just followed behind him
"Hey guys"Carl said to his friends relieving "gets" and "what's ups" back
I looked at Carl and he was walking to two empty seats
I followed behind him only to realize they were next to Tina
"What do you want I'm gonna order" Carl said looking at me
"A pepperoni slice and a Dr Pepper" I said handing Carl a five dollar bill
"It's on me"Carl said winking
"Dam you got me like that, okay" I said laughing
I watched Carl walk up to the counter until he started to talk to the woman because I hear someone talking "oh my gosh he's so cute I'm so glad we're talking" I heard Tina tell her friends
"Carl?"this redhead said rusting her pony tail
"Duh" who do you think I've been snap chatting these past couple weeks
I got kinda pissed m not gonna lie
Carl has been flirting with me but texting another girl?
I waited for Carl to get back with the pizzas and he looked so happy and cute
But he liked Tina not me, why would I think that I'm so basic but Tina is perfect she's

•has perfect straight blonde hair
•amazing blue eyes
•a perfect petite body
•tall
And I'm just me
"What's wrong"Carl said putting his arm around the back of my chair
"Nothing just thinking" I said forcing a smile
"About what, me"Carl said taking a bite into his pizza
"Don't flatter yourself" I said grinning
"So did you get an-" I started to say before getting cut off by Tina
"So Carl when are we going on that date you promised me" Tina said licking her lips after her question
"I'm not sure I'll text you later" Carl said smirking
I got pissed and got up and sped out the door
I was waking as fast as I could then I heard "Mia wait"
It was obviously Carl
He started running to catch up with me
"What's wrong with you now" Carl said jumping in front of me
"You Carl"I said trying to hold back my tears I was super sensitive which I hated about myself
"What'd I do?" Carl said furrowing his eyebrows together like he always does when he's frustrated
"Your constantly flirting with me but when Tina comes around you completely forget about me, and you have to chose unless it's over" I said letting some tears slip but wiping them away as quick as I could
The only thing that could be heard was the wind and sometimes a car honking in the distance
"How can something be over if it never started"Carl said coldly
My heart dropped and I couldn't move
I was so shocked and hurt that he said that to me
But he was right nothing did happen he doesn't love me,nobody does
My mom is gone all the time
My dad left me
Nina has a new bestfriend
Carl hates me
And I hate myself
I just broke down and my knees gave up letting my small body collapse on to them
I was embarrassed so I put my face in my knees and cried and cried
When I finally looked up I saw Carl,he looked terrified at the sight of me
He tried to comfort me but I pushed him away.
He wouldn't leave so I decided I would.
I got up and walked to the train station and looked behind me to see Carl still sitting in the grass
I got on my train and sat alone, the cart was pretty much empty except for the homeless man sleeping on the opposite side and a young woman
I got off at my stop and walked home
I hoped something would change.

Shit nuggets I thought I uploaded this chapter weeks ago and nobody liked my story so I stopped writing but then I was checking it as it didn't say it was up and I dyed a little inside so I'm so sorry but I'm writing my next chapter rn
