What drew me to read this story was the amazing cover by @etherealinsanity! Well done.

It was a beautiful take concerning the historical and cultural background. The details made the story seem real and it was well-written.

I love Zane despite the fact that he passes off as a bad person, in the beginning at least, considering that he is bandit whom raids others to steal their riches and wealth. However, as the story progresses and we start to get insights on his past, you can't really blame him for who he is. Moreover, he is not as bad as Maria thinks he is. Plus he's smart :D

Maria is a strong-willed characters and will do about anything to keep her mother safe. I like that about her but sometimes she can be a little annoying in regards to her perception of Zane. But then again, you can't really blame her since her judgement is based on what she sees and those experiences weren't good and can be seen as cruel.

Their love story was one-sided from the beginning as Zane took an interest with her first so no doubt he was the one whom tried to appeal and pursue her. Her fiery personality ignited his love for her and slowly but surely Maria does come to develop feelings for Zane as well. Their interactions were endearing and I love the whole "what's your name?" game that they have going. I find it very cute.

I am bummed because it is an incomplete story and the latest chapter has you biting your nails for more. So read at your own risk ;)
