Me: J-Jacob, is that you?
Jacob: Katie, you're awake!
Me: Y-Yes.
Jacob: Oh my- Thank goodness! Wait, do you want a doctor?
Me: No, I-I'm good, as long as you're h-here.
He sighed a sigh of relief.
Jacob: Listen, I've been meaning to ask you something.
He looked down and anywhere but me.
Me: Yes, I will.
Jacob: You will what?
Me: Be your girlfriend.
Jacob: How'd you--
I cut him off by kissing him. He kissed me back. We were interrupted by the whole squad coming in.
Me: Christina!
Christina: I came back to make sure you're OK.
Me: I am, thank you! I am so glad you're back!
Christina: Me too, but I'm pretty sure some other people want to see you.
The whole squad came in and hugged me.
Me: G-guys. C-can't b-breathe.
Hunter: Oh sorry!
They all backed away while laughing.
Me: So, we going to that dinner, or what?
Jacob: Man, you really like food, don't you?
I heard several people whisper Jacob. I laughed. It was nice to have friends, but I really miss Charlotte.
Alex: Silly, you're in the hospital. We can't go eat.
Me: Well then get me out.
Riley: How about we bring food to you?
We all laughed.
Me: Eh, sounds good to me.
Mark: Oh guys. I've got something I want to say.
We all turned and looked at him. His face grew very red.
Mark: Um. F-Francesca?
Francesca: Yes?
Mark: Will you be my, um, girlfriend?
Francesca: Yes!
They kissed forever.
Me: Hey! Where's my food?
We all laughed, they went down to get my food, and Jacob stayed.
Jacob: So. Are we going to tell them about us?
Me: Duh. But after I get my food.
Jacob: Geez, you like food! I'm starting to feel jealous!
Me: Buuuuuut, I like you more.
I winked at him. We laughed and finally they came back with my food.
It felt like a year, but it had only been a couple weeks. They finally decide to release me. Jacob came that day with flowers and drove me home. Once I got home, I jumped in bed.
Me: Ah! I missed my bed.
Jacob: I bet you did.
We laughed. I ended up snorting, which made us laugh even harder!
Jacob left and returned with food.
Me: You know me too well!
Jacob: Yes, I do!
Me: Should I be worried?
He laughed.
Jacob: Not at all, not at all.
Me: Well...that makes me worried!
Jacob: It shouldn't.
He leaned in and kissed me. We finally pulled apart. I blushed. He smiled his smile that no one on the planet could do.
