R O S E

With Derek taunting me, I felt like I deserved it.

Why the hell was I up at the crack of one in the morning to be pesky with Derek, and what he does with his love life?

Once Derek turned around back to his room, my breath hitched. I wanted him to kiss me more, maybe even touch me. Picking out another egg, I tried to cook it again.

Hearing the sounds of his shower turning on, I pick my phone from the back of my pocket into my hand that wasn't flipping the egg, checking what time it was. Quarter to noon, I soon had to meet up with Nate.

Nate wanted me to go to the studio for me to listen to the song he made with the Jack's, also wanting me to meet them. Once I finished his egg I took out a clean plate from the dishwasher and placed the egg ontop.

"I'm leaving!" I call out, cleaning the pan I had used, as the shuffling sounds of Derek came closer until he swung the door open.

"Okay," he simply says, smirking as he sees the counter with his egg, "thanks for breakfast, babe." With only wearing a white towel around his hips, his v-line showed-making me what to just rip it off.

"Bye Derek," I respond with an eye roll as I chucked a smile at him before grabbing my keys off the counter and leaving through the front door.

As I made my way out to the hallway my phone started to go off, checking my phone as I pressed the elevator to go to the first floor, it was Nate.

Swiping to answer, I placed the phone on my cheek as I begin to listen to what he was saying. Pressing the first floor button, the elevator goes down. "Hey, Rose," his voice was airy and light.

"Hey, what's up?"

"Are you on your way?" He asks, "I just want to make sure you're safe, princess."

"Get on your knees, princess," Derek's words come into my mind, making me shake my head back and forth.

"Yeah, I'm leaving the complex right now, I'm excited to hear your song, baby," I feel my heart clench as I called him baby, walking out of the elevator as it comes to a haul at the bottom floor.

"You should be," he chuckles, making me as-well. Only until I come to an abrupt stop by some guy with snow colored hair colliding with my body.

"Fuck," he curses, the cup into his hands splashing all over his white t-shirt, as Nate asks me what's going on over the phone.

"I'll tell you later, I gotta go," I hang up, looking at the man who I just made him spill his drink all over himself, "I am so sorry, I-"

"It's fine, sweet-cheeks, just watch where you're going," he smiles, looking down at the mess I had created. "Sammy." He cocks an eyebrow at me, wanting me to tell him my name.

His eyes were a slightly a brown and green color- hazel. He looked about to be my age, in his twenties.

"Rose," I quietly respond in awe, feeling terrible about what I had just did. "Are you sure?"

"I mean, hey it was crappy hot chocolate anyways, you know?" He jokes, "Well, I'll see you around, yeah? No need to worry about this."

I nod and smile, "Yeah, I'm still sorry though."

"And that's alright," he begins to stroll away towards the elevator, slowly, not to get any of the dripping liquid anywhere.

I swiftly try to leave the building in peace, trying not to run into anyone.

As I make my way into my car and begin to drive, my mind explodes with worries. Nothing can never fix this sticky situation I was in.

If I get with Derek there's still my best friend, Nate. If I'm with Nate there's still Derek.

Why was I even thinking about this? It's Nate for pete's sake. He's my boyfriend and my best friend, I cannot just...cheat on him with who he thinks is his best friend.

But you already did.

Once I made it to the actual location, it looked run down almost, the sign barely falling off and the parking lot looked deserted.

I saw Nate and two other guys infront of the front doors chatting. When I parked and came out, I begin to walk over to them, seeing them look at me as I approached them.

"Babe!" Nate walks close to me, placing his arms around my waist while kissing my cheek, leading me to the boys.

One of them had a strong demeanor, crossing his arms across his chest while cocking an eyebrow. His dark hair and fluffy eyebrows didn't make him look too harsh. His style most definitely didn't either. He was wearing a varsity jacket and blue skinnies. "This is Jack Gilinsky," Nate introduces him, his grip on my waist was hard, as Jack salutes to me.

"Call me Gilinsky if any confusion," he smiles.

The other Jack was much soft looking. Blond hair and striking blue eyes, he was fairly short compared to Jack Gilinsky. "And this is Johnson," Gilinsky points his thumb to his side to Johnson.

"Hi," he softly says, waving, then places his hands back into his pockets.

"The studio's a bit wrecked, but it's cozy for us," Gilinsky explains, opening up the glass door into the building.

The smell wasn't pleasant, it smelt like weed and just overall alcohol. Did they spill all the bottles onto the floor?

They guide me through the place, where the bathroom was, where the actual studio is, and where I could get snacks and drinks from the vending machines. "We rented it out for a month, ya know?" Johnson smiles as I nod.

Once we made it into the studio, it was black all around, strobing lights purely everywhere as music blasted out, something by Bryson Tiller.

As I saw all of the buttons and gadgets, I then see a slim brown haired girl sitting in a chair, singing to the trap music.

"Oh, that's Madison," Nate calls over the music, "G's girl."

As Gilinsky approaches her, they both come into eachother's arms, they probably don't cheat on eachother.

Gilinsky places her into his lap as they both sit on the booth, mumbling into her ear she stands and comes up to me, giving me a toothy grin.

"I'm Madison Beer," she stretches out a hand, as I shake it.

"Rose," I respond over the loud music as she nods, calling me pretty.

Johnson then turns off the music, saying that he was going to play the song that Nate wrote about me, saying that the rapping was about me and how he wrote it all.

"It's called Like That," Nate's eyes were focused on me as I was still looking around the room.

My hands were on Nate's back and my head was planting on his shoulder, as his hands snaked their way to my lower reign.

As the song begun to play, my eyes began to water, realizing that Nate really did love me. He was expecting to be with me forever.

Nate notices my crying as he places a hand through my hair, thinking that I was crying over the song. "Babe, is the song okay?"

"Okay? It's fucking amazing," I curse, tears sprouting even more, his grip on my waist becoming tighter as now my chest was pushed into his, and it felt amazing.

Now, I was realizing why I should be with Nate, not Derek.
