I do not want to die

I do not want to die
But the thought
Encloses my mind
Almost everyday
And most certainly every night
I do not want to die
But as the blood
Races from my wrist
At a speed too fast for my gauze
I do not call for help
I do not want to die
But as the car inches closer
And closer
I do not move
I do not want to die
But as my last breath
Escapes my lips
And the bubbles pop on the surface
I do not try to swim back up
I do not want to die
But if it were to happen
I would not be upset with my fate
