The Flirt 2

Chapter 18

It was finally Monday. I rode my bicycle again as I reached my school.
"Alicia!" someone called. I stopped to look behind me. I hopped down, when I saw Luke running to me. "Hey, good morning." I smiled.

"Hi.." he was looking at me.
"Um, do I have something on my face?" I asked, shyly.
"No no. I'm just wondering how you got better than the morning." he said.
"You know that cheesy lines will never work for me." I said. He pouted, "That! That will." I laughed, then squeezed his cheeks.

We entered our school, "Hey wanna grab some coffee first?" he asked. "Sure. Snack bar?" I asked, and he nodded.
We went there, and we were glad, there weren't too many people.

I ordered an iced coffee, while Luke ordered a hot cappuccino. We sat on a table there.
"I saw the comments.. in our pic." Luke spoke up. I formed my lips into a thin line.
"Why are they rude to you?" he asked.
"Wait how'd you understand..." he cut me off, "I used google" he shrugged.

"So why?" he went back.
I didn't know what to say...
I couldn't think of an excuse.

"Um... Okay, look." I said before sipping on my drink.
"Back home, I was the playgirl of the school. You know, I'm the popular one  the prettiest, the girl who dated many boys already.... And that's exactly why dad brought me here." I confessed.
"Everybody knows me as 'the flirt'. They think that I only play with boys..." I chewed on my cheek to disturb my tears.

"Which is not true anyway!" I lifted my pointing finger.
"But they don't think that I'm a human. A human with feelings. That I can be hurt sometimes. I.." I lost it. I cried.

Luke held me as I sobbed. It felt so good to cry. Wow.

"I.." I inhaled then exhaled, "I hope you'll still feel the same with me. After you uh, heard my life.." I muttered as I wiped my tears.
"I'm just surprised." he said softly.

"I'll always be here for you." he said, patting my back as he comforted me.
"Thanks." I smiled at him before I sniffed.

"Here" he handed me his hanky. "Oh thank you." I used it to wipe my tears again. I smelled his scent.

As we finished our drinks, we finally headed to our classroom.
"Hey Luke, Alicia!" they greeted us.
We looked at each other, and laughed.
"Um hey" I waved at them, a bit shy.

We sat on our seats.

"Oh by the way love, when are you free?" he asked. My heart melted with his name to me.
"I don't know.. I have to ask my dad." I shrugged. "I see.. okay then" he smiled.
The classes started, and it was boring.

A couple of days later. We were having a date on Friday.

I went to school only by myself because my bike tire was flat, after Luke rode it and played with it.
Medyo nagtatampo ako sa kanya, pero onti lang.

I decided to get a coffee first before heading towards our classroom.
I crossed the little alley to our building. Two people caught my attention as I crossed it. I looked at them, they were a boy and a girl. They were so close to each other, like they were about to kiss.

I gasped, as I realized who it were. I covered my mouth, and dropped my drink accidentally. Sayang yun ha pucha naman.

Luke looked at me, his eyes widen. Olivia also looked at me, and adjusted her uniform.

A tear fell on my eye, but I couldn't move to wipe it.
Luke approached me, and that was my queue to run.
I ran away, to the girls' restroom.
There were some girls, and they saw me crying. They hurried to get out. I sat on the corner of the restroom and cried.

He lied to me. I knew it. I knew he still had feelings for her. I fucking knew it. Ang tanga ko rin naman kasi para di ko mapansin.

"Alicia?" he entered the girls' restroom. Luke kneeled in front of me. I covered my face so he wouldn't see me crying.

"Alicia please let me explain." he said. I wriggled from his grip, and stood up. "I'm so done. I'm so done with you. I knew you still have feelings for her. I knew it!" I screamed. I yelled. "I hate this! Ah!" I cried.
"We're done" I told him, as I wiped my tears, then went out.

My tears were still falling, but I just kept walking. I entered another restroom, and went to the last cubicle.
I called Ron.

He answered anyway.
"Hello?"
"H-hi, si Alicia to." I said.
"Oh Alicia? Umiiyak ka ba? Anong nangyari sayo??" he asked, his voice were full of worries.
"Si... Si Luke." I cried.
"Ano, sinaktan ka ba nun? Alicia!"
"Ang sakit... I was in front of them..." I sniffed.
"They were about to kiss! Dapat pala nakinig ako sa iba. He's a total jerk." I cried.
He didn't speak.
"Ron?"
"Yeah nandito pa ko." he said.
"Ron, gusto ko nang umuwi! Di ko kaya dito." I begged.
I hears him sigh, "Ooh, I wish I'm there beside you." he groaned.
I cried more.
"Oh sorry Alicia! I have to go. Klase na eh. Try kitang tawagan ulit mamaya." he said.
"Ah o-okay. Sige bye..." I muttered.
"Stop crying already please.." he told me before ending the call.
