Atina's P.O.V
He was breathtaking. I don't think I had ever seen someone like him. He made my stomach turn every time we made eye contact. His sunset colored shell brought the brown in his soft chocolate eyes...
"Earth to Atina!!" I blinked trying to focus on whoever said it. "Alana?" I asked doubtfully. "Uh yeah?.. That's been my name since like forever. I thought you were smart." I lightly shoved her. "Sorry I spaced out." Alana rolled her eyes. "Duh! I've noticed!" She gasped dramatically gave me a sly smirk. "Is it a merboooy that's in your mind?" She rolled out the O. I could feel my cheeks burn bright red. "Uh.. noooo.. hahaha." I scratched my neck laughing awkwardly. "Mhmhm." Alana said raising an eyebrow. "Well anyways I'll catch you later I've had my eye on a hunk all night long." She said winking. "Good luck." I said smiling. She laughed swimming away. I didn't exactly lie.. or did I?? I mean he's a seahorse technically he doesn't count as a merman. I sighed, this is all just wrong. If my family found out I would be disowned. I need to get him out of my mind, before something bad happens. There's plenty more fish in the sea anyways... I placed my empty drink in the adorned fancy trash can and headed for the exit of the ballroom. I needed some fresh water to calm down. I pushed open the large door and I stepped out into the cool sea water, and leaned against a cold marble pillar staring up into the different colored flowers that hanged above my head. They were so intriguing each one different from the other one.. All I wanted was for everyone to leave already so I could just go to sleep. I heard the door swing open. "Hey there." I heard a voice chirp. I froze up. "H-Hi.."
