A Friendship is Born and Gaara of the Sand

Seika

The first thing we did was get Haku some new clothes. His clothing, although great for the mist, were sorta stand outish here in the leaf village. It took a while but we eventually decided on an average gennin gear and a tan coat. I found out Haku liked light colors which made sense since they helped him blend in at the mist village. Next we went to a weapons store. We got him the basic essentials and that was the end of the funds for him. I noticed him looking at a katana on the shelf. Interestingly enough it had a snowy motif on the sheathe with silver instead of gold for the guard and pommel, the guard was shaped like a snowflake and the pommel had a small chain with a snowflake on it as well. "I shouldn't be surprised your interested in blades considered who trained you." He jumped in surprise. "I've always wanted to learn swordplay. But we were never able to get one cause we were always on the run." He really seemed captured by this blade. "Oh you seem to like this blade? Its name is snowfall, it was made as a gift for the Yuki clan by a master black smith. It was returned by a elderly on a mission as payment from a mission. The blade is a masterpiece and worth 2,000 yen." 2,000 yen! You gotta be kidding me! But Haku really wants that blade. As Haku went to look around the store some more I talked to the owner. "Is their a way you could lower the price? My friend recently came to the village and he really likes blades. He's also from the Yuki clan and since the blade is made for them." The owner being a kindly old lady got a thoughtful for a minute. "Well your a sweetheart and always helped me when you were a little tike and I can definitely see the Yuki in your friend. Tell you what, lets drop the price to 100 yen dearie." She smiled as I kindly paid the new price and went to get Haku. "Haku you ready to go? I got you a present." He followed me out and as I handed him the blade his eyes went wide. "But it was so expensive! You couldn't have had that kind of money!" I smiled as I calmed him down. "It's ok consider it your welcome to the village present." Before I knew it Haku had tackled me in a hug saying thank you. I was to busy blushing cause we were in the open and I wasn't use to contact like this. After we calmed down I placed all his gear in a seal I made and headed to my home.
Haku

I so far liked this village. The people were friendly and didn't seem worried at the least about my bloodline. I was still recovering from Seika's gift even now as we were heading to her home. This is the nicest gift I've ever gotten. Zabuza got me things but it was only stuff out of necessity not cause I wanted it. She seems like a kind hearted person and I can see why the hokage put us together, were a lot alike. I was pulled out of my thoughts by Seika talking to a group of sand nin. I knew them, they were the sand siblings.
Seika

"Hello! I've never seen you three before. Are you guys here for the exams." They seemed older than me but seemed relieved at what I said. "Yeah were from Suna. Last leaf ninjas we met didn't know, its nice to see theirs some smart leaf ninjas. The girl talking is a wind user, the fan is most likely a conduit. The cat boy is a puppet master. The calluses on his fingers make that obvious. The redhead is an element user too, im guessing sand maybe since that theirs no water in Suna. "My name is Seika Takara and this is my friend, Haku Yuki. What's your name's?" The girl on their team was called Temari, the cat boy is called Kankuro and the redhead was called Gaara. I wished the luck as I headed our way to my home.
