THE STAGES OF A PHOENIX:
first: I was broken, bruised and shattered beyond compare. It was as though every bone in my body had snapped, and the broken shards had pierced my lungs and flesh. I was too broken to breathe, too broken to survive.
second: I was burning, my body had ignited in an all consuming flame. The spark had been kindled into a flame and now I was burning, the fire melting off my skin and eating away at my flesh, until it seared into my bones and I was never the same.
third: when the smoke cleared, and the ashes settled to the ground there was nothing left of me but bitter ash and brittle bones as the remains of the girl I used to be.
fourth: from the ashes, I emerged reborn, resurrected a million times stronger than before. before, I hesitated. now, I will bring blood and death to my enemies and I will not hesitate. I am no longer the scared little girl hiding in the closet, I am a hurricane, a storm that can bring a world of pain. I have risen from ashes of the bones of before, to emerge as a phoenix reborn.
