3rd April 1987

I walk past Dad's study door I spot a bit of paper on the ground; it's a ticket for a game of poker. I know that Mum doesn't gamble, so it has to be dads, but he never told us he gambled. The man that came to our house the night Dad went missing could have dropped it, but I'm almost certain they didn't come past here. I decide that I will go down to the casino tomorrow, 'The Star', it says on the ticket.

The casino is massive with a big gold coin statue outside of the front doors. I walk up to the front doors and as soon as I step inside I am stopped by a very strong looking security guard.

"Sorry, Miss" he says, "You're not allowed in unless you're over eighteen."

"I just wanted to ask if someone I know comes here" I reply, trying to look as innocent as I possibly can.

"Who is it you're asking about?" he inquires.

"George Taylor" I say.

"Yeah I know him. He's been coming here for a couple of months now, haven't seen him for a few of days though."

"OK, thanks" I reply, my voice a little shaky after the shock of finding out that dad has been lying to us.
