The guard from the other day pulled Ruby and Mary aside during rec time. "Warden needs to see you," she said gruffly. Ruby jerked her arm away and the guard knocked Ruby to the ground. "Enough of that."

She took them to an empty room. "You ladies ready?" The guard started to smile.

"Yeah. You sure were rough on Ruby though, Denise."

"I have my reputation too, you know. Come on, we've got a small timeframe. I'm guessing everything is squared away." Denise raised an eyebrow.

"Almost. Sam and Dean should've taken care of it by now." Mary smiled.

"Alright, come on."

It was a pretty uneventful prison break. Ruby was glad to get out. She missed Sam and Dean. Outside, at the car, Sam picked her up and twirled her in the air then kissed her. "Do you know how cheesy we are?" Ruby asked.

"Yep, and I don't care." He put her down and opened the car door for her. "Our job is done now. We burned the bones."

Rub slid in the car. "Good. You know, I have an idea. Have you ever seen Prison Break?"

Sam laughed. "No. You want to watch it?"

"Yes! I love that show. And, it's perfect for the circumstances."

At the hotel, Ruby and Sam locked themselves in the bedroom. They laid down next to each other, balancing the laptop between them. It was enough to just be pressed up against him watching a TV show.

At the end of the first episode, they repositioned themselves. Ruby kneeled on the bed and Sam sat cross legged in front of her at her command. "What are you doing?" he asked.

"Shhh. Just watch the show." She started running her hands through his hair. He leaned into it. Then she started braiding it. Little strands all around his head. He tried to reach up and touch his hair, but she smacked his hand away. "Just wait."

Sam really liked Prison Break. "Maybe you guys should've held up a bank to get arrested instead of robbing a museum."

"Hmm." Ruby considered it. "Okay. Your hair's done. Don't look yet." Ruby got her mini hairbrush and mirror out of her bag. She held it in front of Sam.

"Wow." He turned his head, touching his hair carefully. She'd made a bunch of little braids all over his head. It hadn't needed any hair ties. "You should teach me how to braid. Then we could be more obnoxiously cute than we already are. He closed the laptop and practically flipped her so they were entangled.

They made out for awhile; the braids in Sam's hair came out, leaving it wavy. Ruby groaned and pulled away from him, laying flat on her back, breathing hard. "If we keep going, we will have sex. And, first of all, that goes against my values, and, second of all, your mom and brother are in the other room."

"Well, there is marriage. I assumed we'd be together for the rest of our lives anyway." He said it so casually.

"Uh." Ruby laughed nervously and turned on her side. A thousand things were going through her head, but all she said was "Isn't there a better way to ask...?"

"I didn't know if you wanted to. I'm not used to stuff like this. I don't have a ring. Oh, this is going so badly. Do you want big proposal?"

"I think this will do. You're so awkward." She laughed, more happy than she'd been in a long time. "Go ahead," she prompted him.

He cleared his throat and stood up. He took her hands in his and got down on one knee. Sam took a deep breath and looked into Ruby's deep brown eyes. "Ruby. Will you marry me?"

"I won't cheapen the moment with sarcastic comments, so yes."

"Woo!" Sam yelled, pulling her off the bed and into his arms. She gasped from the pain in her ribs, but pretended it was just from surprise. They started making out again and ended up on the bed. Ruby had to push him away again because it was getting too heated again.

She bit her lip, trying to contain herself. "Shouldn't we tell your family?" she asked.

"Mmhm, but in a few minutes." He rolled on top of her and she giggled.

They came out of the room a few minutes later, holding hands. Ruby had made an effort to smooth down her wild, dyed black hair. Ruby covered her laugh, hiding her smile.

Dean looked up at them from the couch. "Oh, my god. What did you do?"

Ruby laughed again and looked up at Sam. "You want to tell them?" he asked.

She looked at Dean then Mary. "In a surprising turn of events," she paused "we're engaged."

"Oh!" Mary said, surprised. Then, more excited, "Oh!" She hugged Ruby. "This is great."

When Mary let her go, Ruby looked at Dean. Dean asked Sam "Shouldn't she have asked for my permission?" Ruby snorted. "I don't know how to react to this."

Castiel, who was sitting next to Dean leaned forward and said "Heaven approves of this union. As do I." He gave a small smile which Ruby knew meant that he was very happy.

"Let's go celebrate!" Mary said
