Bio:
I'm from a small town in Indiana, I grew up with a huge imagination that never really went away. I started writing in middle school; I believe my first story was a Kingdom Hearts fanfiction. I am currently studying for a B.A. in Liberal Arts; I met my loving husband Zach at college, and he's the one who encouraged me to put some of my writing out there! I am thanking him every day for it!
Can you explain what your book is all about?
It's based on the premise of a life after death. Statistically, death is the number one fear for everyone because it's inevitable. I had a dream about a girl, and she was crying. In her hands was a glowing orb; she was angry and confused about it. When I woke up, I ran to my computer and wrote the first 2 chapters of A Grimm Choice. It tells her story, about her becoming a Reaper, and falling in love.
Who is your target audience - and why?
It's primarily for a Young Adult audience, an age group I fall in. Our lives have only just begun, imagine what it would be like to have it ripped away from you. And be stuck with the memories, and thoughts of what had been and what might have been. All in the while, you watch everyone you knew move on.
What is 'paranormal' about your story?
Reapers, I added a little bit of Greek Mythology. There are demons, ghosts, angels, and a few other creatures I haven't grasped yet so you'll have to see!
Does it contain other genre elements, if so which ones - and why?
Romance. What can I say? I am an addict when it comes to romance! Besides I feel like Grimm and Vivienne's love story is an important element of the story.
Tell us about your writing process - how do you get from story idea to a Wattpad published story?
Honestly, my writing process is pretty dull. I just write the chapters as the ideas flow in my mind. In reality, I already know what I want to happen... It's writing all of it down that makes my writing process trying at times!
Did you encounter any challenges when writing, if so - how did you overcome them?
If I get stuck I'll drag myself away from my computer and go on with my day. I will put myself in my characters shoes and just think about them. Eventually, I am able to return to the keyboard and write it all down!
You often hear that 'writing well' is the baseline for success. What does that mean for you?
I cannot express how often I've heard that phrase! It does mean a lot to me, but I don't think it's what drives me for success. I've read works where everything is scrambled, and just plain messy. However, the way I see it as a fellow writer is that criticism is very important. I'll offer help to anyone who asks for it. Writing well is important, but having support is more important!

One final question, this being the Paranormal genre: Have you ever had a paranormal experience?
Of course! I've grown up with a very open "third eye". There have been several events, occurrences in my life that I just cannot explain logically. There are times when I am woke from a dead sleep and it feels like an out of body experience. Or dreams where I feel that I am pushed off a cliff, and wake with that feeling all through me.
