Fairy Hunt

"They're finally here Mavis so who will it be? Which one of your precious little Fairies should I take first one way or another they'll all die anyway and there's nothing you can do about it all tied up like this." He hissed in a low and raspy voice.

"I promise you one thing no matter who you face Fairy Tail will defeat you no matter what..." Gasped Mavis as he tightened his grip on her making her slowly loose consciousness. Back at the competition, things were in full blast. Elfman and Evergreen vs Mirajane, Gray and Fuyu vs Mest and Wendy, Cana and Cobra vs Freed and Bixlow, Juvia and Lasinna vs Erza, Levy and Gajeel on the serenity route, no one on Lauxs' route, and Natsu and Autumn vs Gildarts and boy were they having a hell of a time.

"Of course of, fucking course, I called it damnit Natsu why'd you let me choose the path, I said watch it be Gildarts and lookie here, IT WAS! We're dead were both gonna die you know that right?" i ranted as we arrived at a large enclosure in. The cave to find Gildarts Clive standing in the middle of the cave.

"Hey you chose this path and with the both of us we have a way better chance right? We can do this Aki chan no matter what lets go!" Said Natsu enthusiastically as he put his hand up in the air and wh gave each other a high five before Natsu started aimlessly charging toward Gildarts.

"Yes charge towards the strongest Fairy Tail wizard blindly, what are you thinking Natsu?" I yelled throwing a circle of fire balls towards Gildarts thinking he couldn't block all of them long enough for me to run up behind him and land an attack while he was distracted my Natsu, or so I thought. As I was about to attack he turned to be and grabbed on to my arm throwing me to the ground on my back knocking the air out of me as Natsu used a Fire Dragon Roar over me, I managed to stand back up rather quickly as I used my Ice Flame Dragon Special attack.

"Fire Dragon Wing Attack!" Yelled Natsu as I stood behind him and went full Dragon Force. Cold blue markings traveled up and down my arms, my eyes turned red and white as my hair caught fire and burst into blue flames as two large red and white dragon wings appeared on my back as I began to slowly hover above the ground slightly.

"Now there's something you don't see everyday." Said Gildarts with a smirk as I practically disappeared from sight as shooting blue flames his way pushed him back into a wall.

"Payback for flipping me over." I said quietly with a smile.

"Woah is that your Dragon Force Aki-Chan? That's so cool you even have wings." Said Natsu as I planted my feet back on the ground.

"You have no clue do you? This takes years of practice to master even for a fourth gen. Dragon Slayer like me or Fuyu. Yet we were born with this power and have fully mastered it so we can completely transform on command." I explained, while we were speaking I forgot about the battle entirely as Gildarts attempted an attack I used my magic to push him back against the wall and using my cool blue flames to bind him against the wall as I returned to my original form once again.

"So cool, does this mean we won?" Asked Natsu looking at Gildarts bound to a wall off the ground. As I chuckled I giggled.

"I think so." I said as we began to walk toward the exit of the cave. As we began walking away I made sure to release Gildarts as we exited the cave and he congratulated, asked us as we then went to the meet up spot at the end of the path. The rest of the winners where there Levy and Gajeel. Gray and Fuyu, Cana and Cobra, Evergreen and Elfman.

"Five teams left going on to the next level." After giving us a quick hint as to where the grave was we all split ways and and began to look for the grave separately.

"Can you make the wings appear and disappear whenever you want or do you have to go full Dragon Force?" Asked Natsu as we searched for the grave.

"I can make them come and go as I see fit. It doesn't even take up that much power either." I said as we walk and it seems we both got the same idea at the same time stopping where we were we turned and looked at each other as Natsu blurted out what we were both thinking.

"If you can make the wings come and go whenever then why don't you make them a appear now and scout out First Master Mavis's grave?" Asked Natsu as I nodded in agreement. Making the wings appear I took to the sky to find the grave in a small clearing under the Tenrou tree. Upon farther inspection looking at the grave it was surrounded by a dark black aura and I could almost make out a large serpent like figure, and it seems as if it saw me too. I suddenly felt very heavy as I looked back to see my wings had disappeared and I was being suspended in air by its glare as its cold stare broke I felt myself plunging toward the ground may feet below me. Without reliving it I glued my eyes shut and cried out as I prepared myself for the impact.

"Aki-Chan!" Yelled Natsu as he ran to the spot here I was falling to and caught me seconds before crashing. Opening my eyes I found myself looking into Natsu's worried eyes.

"N-Natsu?" I questioned shaking in fear thinking I wasn't going to survive a fall like that.

"Are you okay? What happened you were fine just a second ago then your wings vanished?" He sit looking down at me concerned.

"Y-you saved me Natsu." I said relieved gently wrapping my arms around his neck embracing him.

"What else was I supposed to do let you fall you could have been badly hurt or worse I wasn't just gonna let you fall." He said embracing me back.

"I-I don't know what happened but somethings not right here need to got tell master Mokorav there's something at Mavis's grave that does not mean well. I don't know exactly what it is but I looked at it and it practically drained my power my wings vanished must I was still floating up there it felt like I was hanging from a rope and as soon as it looked away from me I started to fall." I explained as Natsu helped me up and we started back to where Master Mokorav was.

"Master something's wrong Aki-Chan found the great and there's something there that shouldn't be." Said Natsu as we arrived back at the camp where Master was.

"What is it what did it look like?" He asked as I began to explain.

"It was like a large serpent I couldn't see it clearly because if a think black smoke surrounding the area but it had glowing red eyes that almost completely drained my power. I don't know what it is but I didnt like the looks of it." I said as I let him think for a moment.

"The exceeds are here correct Mira?" asked Mokorav as he was lost in thought.

"Of course they flew a ways behind the ship because they wanted to watch the contest." She said with her normal kind smile.

"Have them go find the other four teams bring them back here if what they're saying is true then we cannot beat this enemy not here not now not yet." Said Master as the exceeds as they set off for the others. We sat there waiting for about 2 hours before everyone arrived back at the camp as we hurriedly grabbed all of our stuff and boarded the ship back to Hargeon. Everyone was full of disappointment as the contest was postponed and we ran away from a battle with an unknown enemy. No one was too happy about leaving and I don't think anyone was satisfied with the outcome. As we pulled away from the island we heard an inhuman shriek come out of the jungle of Tenrou as we all realized that when we returned it would be no ordinary battle.
