The guys started taking Skylar's car apart inspecting every piece still wary of there being more bugs in the car while Letty left to pick up some parts. Skylar tried to work on the stencils but every time she heard a noise she couldn't help but look up.
She knew that taking apart the car's engine, carburetor and whatever else was in there was part of fixing up her car but she was still nervous. She finally hooked some ear buds up to her phone and blasted some music she had downloaded earlier that morning. She was so engrossed in her work that she let out a yelp when someone tapped her shoulder. When she looked up, she saw Roman standing there smirking.
"Those for my car?" he asked after Skylar took out the earbuds.
"Some of them," she said nodding, "What colors were you wanting?"
"Thought I'd leave that up to you," she said while she glanced over at her car.
"Oh no," she said looking back to him, "cuz if you don't like the colors I pick you'll make me do it again. And I'm not wanting to do it again."
"Ight what about some blues, greens, and reds?"
She nodded her head while she held a pencil in her left hand and started drawing out an idea slightly alternating the sketch she'd shown him the day before. She then nodded wanting him to follow her into the office, threw the sketch on the table and started adding some color.
"How about this?" she asked after a few minutes had gone by sliding the sketchpad over to him.
"Didn't say nothing bout the yellow or silver but yeah I like it," he said sliding it back over to her.
"Good," she said giving him a half smile, "Glad to see you agreeing with me for once instead of questioning me."
He shrugged and leaned back in his chair, "Brian filled me in some."
"Oh really?" she said raising a brow wondering what Brian had said.
As if reading her thoughts he continued, "Just know that if anything goes down I got your back just like the others. I don't know you but Dom's good people and you're his daughter so," he shrugged leaving the sentence unfinished.
Skylar nodded, "Thanks."

"What's going on with them?" Dom asked watching Skylar and Roman through the window in the garage.
"Looks like they're talking," Brian said looking up briefly before continuing to work on the engine.
"About what?" Dom asked, "Yesterday they couldn't stand each other and now." He shrugged and Brian looked up again.
"I filled Rom in on some things about Skylar. Not too much," he added seeing Dom's expression," just enough so he'd let up off her a bit."
"Uh huh," Dom said watching them leave the office.
His lips twitched trying to fight a smile seeing Skylar cringe at the sight of her car.
"It'll look better," he told her trying to ease her worrying.
"It better," she said looking at him then Brian.
"Hey you were the one that said we could take it apart and fix it up," Brian said.
"True but don't turn it into that," she said pointing at Dom's charger.
"What's the matter? That too much power for a little girl like you?" Brian asked stealing a glance at Dom then looked back at Skylar while Roman watched in amusement.
