Chapter IV ~•~ The Raid

Cody woke up to a knock on the door. He sat up, seeing that he slept without going under the sheets. He heard the knock again, this time with a voice. "Hello? Is anyone there?" Cody walked up to the door and looked through the peek hole. Outside stood two guys, one wearing a blue jacket and the other wearing a black one. One had a mask on, but it only covered his mouth. The other had his hood on, making it hard to see his eyes. He knocked again. "Hellooooooooo?!"

Cody opened the door. "Hey dude, nice ya meet ya. My name's Andre, and this is Vince." The guy in blue pointed at the other guy, waving hello. Cody waved back. "Uh...nice to meetcha too. My name's Cody."

"Cool, man! Wanna eat somethin before we head out? There's a nice breakfast bar in the main hall at eight." Andre put his arm on his shoulder, as if they had been good friends for a long time. Cody shrugged. "Sure."

"Yeah! Let's go," Vince said, walking to the elevator. Even though his mouth was covered, Cody could still see that he was very glad to meet a new friend. After everyone got in, Andre pushed the button marking ☆1.

"So, Cody, were are you from?" Andre questioned, leaning onto the corner of the elevator.

"Do you know where Lake Ciris is?"

"Yeah. It's a few miles to the west."

"I live there," Cody replied. Soon the elevator rung and the doors opened, allowing them to enter the main hall. Instead of an empty hall, the middle was occupied with tables of delicious foods of all kinds. A sweet aroma of honey and syrup filled the lungs as a crowd of people bustled around with plates. "Wow," Cody gaped. "There are a lot of people here, aren't there?"

"Yup," Andre replied, grabbing a plate. "Go ahead and look around, there's a lot of things here to eat."

"...and then I came out and saved everybody," Andre boasted, munching down another stack of pancakes. "Of course, Vince helped too, but only a little."

"That's cool," Cody muffled, chomping through a waffle. "Do you have anything you wanna share, Vince?"

"Well," Vince stated, "This one time I..."

BOOM!

Before Vince could start telling his story, a huge black rock crashed through the ceiling! At the bottom was a large point, smashing into the floor. It landed where Vince sat, and amazingly, did not destroy anything else.

"Holy shit!" Andre exclaimed, standing at the other side of the room. "That thing almost hit me!" He ran up to the remains of what was supposed to be Vince. "Dude! Did you survive?"

"...uhh..." Andre heard, muffled from underneath the floor. "...I...I'm fine..."  

Cody saw an oversized purple hand crawl out of the ground. With it pulled Vince carrying the huge boulder. He set it down and his arms turned returned to its normal size. "Sorry about that. What I was going to say earlier was that this one time I saved a tree from dying. You see, when..."

"Uh, dude, that's not the thing to be doing right now," Andre said, pointing at the rock. "What the hell did you just get hit by?"

"Oh... I don't know. But it hurt my hand pretty good." Cody and Andre looked at Vince's hand, dripping with blood. "Oh man," Cody said, squatting down to look at it. "That's really bad."

From the other side of the room, the three heard a shriek.

"Uh oh," Andre said, slipping on his hood. "Looks like someone came with it." He pressed the budder-on-fire symbol on top of his hood, and his outfit transformed. His jacket was now a tannish-brown, his belt held dual pistols, and his hood had pointed down to cover is face. His feet had turned into a blue, mechanical-like claws, and in his hand was a super sharp tomahawk. He held his hand out to Vince, and he grabbed it, doing the same. His suit was more like a ninja cloak, but had a cape with the skittles logo on it. He waved to Cody with a machete in hand, and with a blur, had disappeared with Andre. It was almost like he had supersonically dragged Vince out of the room into oblivion. Cody snapped out of his awe and flew to the area where he had heard the yell.
