any back to May

She's mute (not physically) with a side order of social anxiety disorder. May is 16 and a HUGE FUCKIN WEEABOO. 

Okay now onto backstory

May's parents divorced during the beginning of her freshman year and her mother kinda lost contact with her. May wondered if her mother even cared for her at all. With May's father moving out and May's mother being a stay-at-home mother their cash was dramatically at a big low. Her mother became absorbed in saving money, wanting money, getting more money. Well eventually at the end of her freshman year her mother was remarried to a another man. May doesn't think much of him, he's like a guy that's just kinda there. 

May's mother still ignored her daughter. Her mother would come home from work, maybe greet May, then go off to find her husband and shoo May off whenever she tried to spend time with her mother. Of course this effected May's ego greatly. She stumbled into a huge mess of anxiety and self consciousness. 

Then her mother became pregnant and May gained a little grain of hope. She would have a little brother, and she would be able to have some sort of family connection again. She got through every day imaging how much fun she'd have teaching her baby brother new things, playing with and loving him. 

Her baby brother was born a still birth. 

This ruined the entire family. May spent her days secluded in her rooms, reading manga and watching anime for the most part. Her mother, became even more obsessed with money. We're talkin' borderline obsession. "If we use our plates correctly we'll only have to wash the dishes once every two weeks and we'll cut back the water bill a ton!!" 

Well May found herself watching an anime where a family member was resurrected and it peaked May's interest quite a bit. She began researching heavily on spiritual and resurrection stuff until she finally believed she had the information to bring back her brother. She would have that loving family member, her mother would be ecstatic and maybe even begin spending time talking with May again. 

She set the date to a full moon on a very chilly September night, finding her way to her little brother's grave-

*blacks out and wakes up in her bed in the mornign with a babes crying* 

she leans over the side of her bed and sees A FUCKING TRANSLUCENT GHOST BABY OH NO

She's pretty confused and scared and none of her parents can see the baby tf 

so she goes to school PARANOID AF and she SEEES MORE GHOSTS AND DEMONS AND IT'S FUCKING TERRIFYING 

she tells her momm and her mom is like 

"nigga you know what's up this some cool shit i bet we could make money off it"

"MOM NO" 

"mom yes" 

so her mother forces her into labor and tbh as long as May's mother is actually giving her some kind of recognition that she exists she puts up with it and they turn their home into a psychic shop thing where people come in and they ask for May to talk to their dead friend/family whatever

and on the side she has to TAKE CARE OF HER DEAD GHOST BABY BROTHER THAT HAUNTS HER TO NO END 

so she's tired as fuck and always has bags under her eyes and p much wants to lowkey die but she's chill for the most part

and that's May

She's extremely skinny and pale btw and bc of that she has a HUGE ASS collection of baggy sweatshirts that she wears to hide her body type
