Chapter 13

You went to Sonic to give him a hug when Genos stopped you..

"Don't get near this trash, (Y/n)" He scowled

"How dare you call me trash, junk pile!" Sonic yelled back

You went between the two before this turns into a rumble..

"Okay both of you are trash, you happy now?" You said to them

Genos looked at you with an annoyed face while Sonic grinned like an idiot..

"You never did change, (Y/n)" Sonic said as he went near you

"Scratch that! You've changed a lot, Sonic. You look like a hobo" You said while chuckling

"It's been years since we last saw each other and you're calling me a hobo!!!" He said while clenching his fist..

You laughed at him and he did the same as well..

"Y-yeah sorry.. haha...I got carried away" You giggled while covering your mouth...

"Oi will you do the reunion later, (Y/n), Tonic.." Saitama said looking at you and Sonic

"It's Sonic, dammit!! I'm going to destroy you later"

"Yeah..yeah later, could we hurry up? The sale is only in a limited time only" Saitama turned his back on you

You saw Sonic unsheathed his sword ready for a fight..again. You stopped him just in time before he completely lets his weapon out...

"Hey how about this, Sonic...why don't you go with us then?"

"Absolutely not."

You were startled to hear Genos answered the question...

"Why not he's my friend?"

"I don't care" He sternly said

'Geez he's still persistent as ever'

You grabbed Sonic by the wrist and dragged him away but Genos grabbed your arm..

"Where are you going?"

"It's obvious you guys don't like him as company so I'm taking him with me. You go with Sensei, the sale might end soon. We'll just meet later at the apartment"

You tried to get away but he still has his grip on you..

"Genos, please let go of me" You said trying to escape his grip

"I don't trust him" he said

"But I do..." You spat back

His grip on you tighten a bit..

"He might hurt you" he said again

"I'm certain that he won't..please let me go" You said almost a whisper..

You tried to escape his hold on you then he forcibly obliged. He turns around and returned his attention on Saitama.You rolled your eyes and faced Sonic

"Let's go, Sonic" You said as you lead the way..

"Hey (Y/n), is he your boyfriend?"

Your felt your pulse racing at Sonic's question..

"No. Why'd you ask?" You said trying to be casual

"I don't know...I guess the way he looks at you. Is he always like that?" Sonic said while avoiding your eyes

You suddenly thought of how he looks at you

"Nah, I don't know but he's quite protective of me recently" You shrugged

"Are you sure he hasn't fallen for you yet?"

"N-no w-why would he be? I mean no one would make a mistake of falling for me, I don't have any good qualities"

"You have a lot of great qualities.."

Sonic mused as he tried stifle a laugh. You smiled to see him, the old him, your childhood friend back before you went abroad. You turned to face him and punch his arm....hard

"Ow! (Y/n), What was that for?" He said rubbing the part where you punched him..

"One more crack like that and your manhood is next"

Sonic suddenly cringe at the thought tht made him drop cold sweat. You thought something traumatic must've happened to him but you simply shrugged it off and laughed at his reaction.

"Hey,(y/n), remember when we were five and we got married"

"Uhm..yeah" You said scratching the back of your neck

You were taken back when the two of you were still kids and you both got 'married' under a tree with stuffed animals as witness of your 'vows.'

You also remembered how you confessed to him before you left to study abroad and how it hurt that he rejected you 3 years ago..

"...that was so sappy of us. Where did you get the idea of 'marrying' me in the first place?" You continued

"I don't know, but are we still 'married'?"

"You fool, we got 'divorced' when I left, remember?" You punched his arm playfully

You noticed him avoiding to make eye contact with you. You and Sonic took a couple of steps before a child approached the both of you. Sonic tried to beat the living daylight out of the child but you stopped him just in time.

You gave him a don't-kill-this-kid-or-I'm-going-to-kill-you look. He crossed his arms and pretended to be upset.

"You're Lady (L/N), right?" The kid asked

"Uh yeah..but I'm not a lady"

Why would this kid call you 'lady'? Is it possible that the child knows you or someone told him so.

'Uh oh'

"Sonic, let's head this way" You said pushing him in the opposite direction

"My, my, a princess like you shouldn't wear clothing deemed only for a commoner"

You were stopped on your tracks to hear that snide comment from someone you despise the most. The most annoying person in the base of the planet and your aunt's butler slash lover.

You turned around to greet him with disgust splattered all over your face.

"Sebastian.."
