We got up the next morning for school to my evilly loud alarm clock... Again.
"Would you please just get another alarm clock!?" Whined Flynn as he tried to drown out the blaring noise with a pillow. All the while I was trying to shut the damn thing off by slamming my palm on the button, but it seemed to have finally broke. So, like every other morning I just unplugged the cord after a long struggle with the busted button.
"We should go buy one." I said as the horrendous noise finally shut off and we were graced with silence once again.
"Yeah, we should go to the store after school today!" He said sleepily, turning over while pulling all the blankets around his small body so the looked like a burrito. He snuggled into all the blankets and I started to laugh at how cute he looked. I noticed some little toes poking out and I got an idea...
I quickly grabbed his big toe and started tugging at it playfully while tickling his other little toes.
"GAAAHHH!" He screeched as he tried to kick my hands away from his naked feet! He tried to wriggle away in his burrito but he was stuck because all the blankets had knotted together and he fell off the bed with a big THUD! I looked down at him from the bed as he lay on his back, still stuck within his blanket burrito, laughing his ass off.
After recovering from the burrito incident, we both got up and got ready for school. Walking to school we were hand in hand and enjoying the warm, spring air. I smiled at the memory of last night when we decided that we were boyfriends. It made me want to giggle with happiness, but I held myself back from embarrassing myself in front of my flawless, pink haired boyfriend. Oh my God! I get to call Flynn my boyfriend now! I felt like the happiest boy alive this morning and nothing could change that! We continued to walk down the street in a comfortable silence just taking in how contempt we both were at that moment.
"We should go out after school." Flynn said.
"I thought we were, weren't we going to go buy a new clock?" I asked him.
"Yeah, but I mean, like... go out on another date." He said looking at me with soft blue eyes. I smiled back at him.
"Okay." I said shyly, blush creeping up to my tan, freckled face. He laughed at my timid response and squeezed my hand happily.
"Where would you like to go?" He asked.
"Umm... I don't really know." I replied not meeting his gaze as the heat of my blush deepened.
"Okay... Then I'll surprise you!" He sounded so excited, it made me really happy knowing that I could make him smile like that. The rest of the walk there I tried to guess where he was going to take me, but he wouldn't have it, he wanted it to be a surprise.
"The pool?"
"Stop guessing Charlie!" He said laughing at me.
"Wait! What about the Museum!?" I tried.
"Stoooopppp!" He said exasperated.
"The Library?"
"Oh my God! You know I'm not going to tell you, right?" He said rolling his blue eyes at me. I knew that, but it was funny to annoy him because he couldn't get mad at me, he just rolled his eyes and playfully swatted at me.
"Plus, those are terrible guesses!" he said laughing while tilting his head back slightly.
Once at school we went to our spot and he put his fluffy pink sweater on the ground so we could lie our heads down on it. Lying on the ground next to Flynn, our sides pressed up against each other, I wanted to ask him something.
